The EarthSpirit Community is pleased to present
KULGRINDA in three New England performances and one workshop
Kulgrinda, founded in 1990, is an enchanting and mesmerizing folkloric group which performs the traditional music of Lithuania dating back to its pre-Christian culture: centuries-old folksongs and chants called “dainas”, with rich modal harmonies accompanied by the Lithuanian bagpipe (“dūdmaišis”) and the zither-like “kankles”.
Kulgrinda has earned rave reviews at folk festivals throughout the world, and we are fortunate to have several of the group's members for a rare series of exclusively New England performances.
