    Hi,

    I tried to add a show wich took place in 1989 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (former German Democratic Republic).

    The name of the city changed into Chemnitz in 1990. So is it possible to add the city with the correct name from 1989 Karl-Marx-Stadt?

    Karl-Marx-Stadt doesn‘t seem to be in the database. So I would say use Chemnitz for now.

    This could be changed later if Karl-Marx-Stadt is added. I don‘t think we‘ve encountered this situation before, so I‘m not sure how we‘ll handle it.

    There‘s a city called Algyő, in Csongrád county in Hungary.
    I‘d like to create a venue for that city (there‘s a club there), but on the Addvenue-page in the city field the system only finds ‘Algyő Vasútállomás, Csongrád, Hungary‘ and ‘Algyői-főcsatorna, Csongrád, Hungary‘, but it is called simply Algyő, so ‘Algyő, Csongrád, Hungary‘ would be the best form.
    What can I do? How can I add a city?

    I added two Venues:
    1. Pestrino, Verona, Italy
    2. Vallo Città di Nimes, Verona, Italy
    but they don‘t appear on the list of available venues

    Those venues are working for me. Sometimes the venue index can take a little while to update. Please check again to see if they are working for you, and let me know if they aren‘t.

    yes, i‘m also… Tried to add a venue in Los Angeles, and only find places in Cuba and some others “WTF” places.

    Yes, I‘m trying to add Truman State University in Kirksville, MO as a venue and I‘m unable to add Kirksville as a city.

    Ok well obviously I am not the only one then! There must be a glitch in the new Add Venue program or database… I am sure the mods can fix it.

    I don‘t think the glitch it related to the new Add Venue interface. Because the new interface worked fine a few days ago. It must be a separate glitch?

    And there‘s nothing the Moderators can do about it. One of the Administrators would have to fix it.

    Yeah, adding some venues are a little harder, since it doesn‘t recognize Kane, PA as a city. It was working smoothly a few days ago.
