Live bands vs. DJ sets

Live shows vs. DJ sets

I've been thinking for a while now about artists that perform both DJ sets and as full live bands. I suppose we cannot really divide them into separate artists since they basically are one and the same, but still not really.
for example, Pendulum's live band went on hiatus in early 2012, while DJ sets are still frequent, but they normally only feature one member of the live act. There have even been several instances of both incarnations playing gigs on the same night in different countries. Are there any rules as to how to handle such cases?
I've added @Tape tags to every song of the latest DJ set, but it doesn't really help in determining which version of the band do the older empty sets belong to.

My personal opinion:

DJ sets should be allowed ONLY if band member(s) are DJ'ing. A random DJ spinning the band's songs should not qualify.
(However, I would grant exceptions in cases like Joe Letz and Andrew W.K. , both of whom did DJ sets opening for large acts during arena shows.)

DJ sets MUST be tagged with @Info[DJ Set by band member name ] at the end of the setlist.

There have even been several instances of both incarnations playing gigs on the same night in different countries.

I don't see how this is possible? If the band is performing in one country, how could a member of that band also be doing a DJ set in a different country?

Anyway, the normal rules for multiple shows on the same day would apply. In other words, both setlists MUST be tagged with @Info at the end, like this:

@Info[Live performance at 20:00. First of two shows on this date.]
@Info[DJ set by band member at 23:00. Second of two shows on this date.]

If the band is performing in one country, how could a member of that band also be doing a DJ set in a different country?

pendulum originally consisted of 3 DJ/producers, two of whom eventually started playing with other musicians as a live band, but it's the third one who is doing most of the DJ sets (together with the live band's MC, though I'd guess not when he's on another continent with the live band)

and since this way gigs can happen on the same day several time zones apart, I don't really see a point in indicating starting times for each…

Sorry for opening this thread again. There is this setlist by Idles when they played a DJ Set in Mexico City last year: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/idles/2022/supremo-doctores-mexico-1bbfd558.html

Is there a way to put the songs they played in a way that it doesnt add them to the stats of the band as covered songs?
