Song Titles

You guys do know that every word in a song title is capitalized, right? Yes, I know there are wacky artsy fartsy titles with intentionally lower cased words, but generally, title = every word capitalized. It's “Bright Future In Sales,” not “Bright Future in Sales.”

And while I'm at it, if Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators performs, say, “Starlight,” it shouldn't be labeled a Slash cover.

SongIsKing, we take all of our song and album information from MusicBrainz. We use their English capitalization guidelines which can be found here:

You should address you concern about the Slash setlists with Fabio , he's been maintaining those. Thanks!

Not all words should be capitalized.

I never capitalize words such as : of, and, the, a, an, for, to

About In and On, being kinda lazy, i will write it the way it had been written mostly.
i won't change 999 Bright Future in Sales for 1 Bright Future In Sales. Moderators can do that but not me.

There's so many songs that will appear several times in songs stats because these words i mentioned have been written with or without capitalization.

And in french, besides the first word, la première lettre des autres words should never be majuscule.

This is not necesarily always true. For French we follow the French capitalization guidelines from MusicBrainz:
http://musicbrainz.org/doc/Style/Language/French

Note, if you are unhappy with these guidelines you should take it up with the folks at MusicBrainz.

Of course, it's not the case for proper nouns. Most of the mistakes that there might be over french music is because these song titles have been written by english-speaking people who don't speak french and don't know the rules.

There's no hyphen on an english keyboard

I don't even have to make combination for these. Being used kinda often, they have a key of their own. ù à é ç

in french, the days of the week are not capitalized.
