lookin good so far! love you guys for postin the setlist as it's happenin! i've only seen this with 1 other band on the opening night of a US tour & that was Tool. keep the songs comin! :-)
Only a one song encore? And nothing at all from Black Clouds and Silver Linings?
The setlist looks great, but I was really hoping for Nightmare to Remember or Count of Tuscany since they did not come to my city on their tour for that record.
They came to Orlando last time around but I wasn't about to pay $80 for a ticket! I thought that was crazy! Plus it was all seats on the floor...sitting down for DT? U gotta be kiddin' me! First time I saw 'em, the floor was GA & it was perfect! ....but I gotta say it's hard after the Octavarium tour to get a really good, flawless setlist ;~(

In my opinion, the legs should be separated, because the setlist isn't exactly the same.
Brought my brother to the show. tried to keep track on my iphone but was too engrossed! Thanks for the setlist. As for only one encore, definitely should have been two at least...especially considering a Standing Ovation after These Walls (3 songs in?)!
Lights came on after encore (Under The Glass) and everyone did as they were trained to do! Shame on the fans...heck with the lights... if you wanna hear more, you can't let that stop you!
Great Venue! Great Show! SF=First stop on the American tour!
Out of seven times of seeing Dream Theater, this was easily in the top three shows. Even with a few technical difficulties (John Myung's bass amp going out during several songs) and Rookie Mike Mangini having a slip-up during fatal tragedy, it was phenomenal. Going back to when they used to play 3 to 3 1/2 hour shows, even being a metal head, I don't want to stand for shows that long. :)
I had hoped for a moment that they would do something really special on this tour. They did an amazing setlist, playing songs from every album except for Black Clouds and Silver linings, and then none from Falling Into Infinity. When they played Ytse Jam, that was BAD ASS, same with the super mellow acoustic version of The Silent Man; absolutely beautiful and intimate in the extreme. My hope had been that they would be playing "A Change Of Seasons" at some point, but it wasn't to be.
I agree with Steban14, this should be separated out as a tour/show on its own because this IS the UNITES STATES OF AMERICA 2011 TOUR so whoever created the setlist should rename it and everything that follows after that should fall under whatever name the setlist creator, deth_from_above should change it to the Drean Theater 2011 United States Tour (or whatever the band is calling the tour.....for those of you who watch and look more diligently than myself...lol! ok well good luck folks and thanks again for a LIVE setlist! that was truly awesome of u guys to do and rock on and on and ooooooooooon!!!!!!!1
omg....there's SO many mis-spellings in that last post i made...i'm sorry guys, LOL! please forgive me and understand that i am quite drunk at the moment but we'll get past it LOL! we'll..........get past it....
let's just do some re-arranging for this Unites States of America 2011 tour and the tour dates to come :-)
Anyone can edit the setlist, Blake. Feel free to change this to "North American Dramatic Turn of Events Tour 2011" if you wish.
Dream Theater's previous tours have never had separate names for each leg of the tour. So why start now?

I would have liked to have heard Pull Me Under, Count of Tuscany or Metropolis over a couple they did like These Walls, Foresaken or Through My Words. Good songs but I like these way more. Would have really been cool if they would had played In The Name of God, As I Am or Lie. Oh well, it's hard to please every fan when you have so many songs to choose from.
If I were at this show, I would've been hella pissed to find out that DT played Pull Me Under the next day.
@deth_from_above- Yeah, I wasn't too happy to hear about that either. I was also disappointed that they didn't play anything from BC&SL or Falling Into Infinity. They should have played either Metropolis or Pull Me Under and definitely for an Encore they should have played either The Count of Tuscany or A Change of Seasons. Oh well, it's hard to please all the fans. Perhaps next tour.
This tour wasn't meant for the strictly-by-the-hits fans, but it's good they had Endless Sacrifice in the set at least.
Not my choice setlist, but stellar performance indeed. Bravo DT!
