That was a great concert! The Saints are Comin!!
awwwwwww! they finally played wake me up when september ends...hopefully they'll play that at one of the texas shows

This was by far one of the most AWESOME shows EVER! Best mix of songs from their incredible inventory!
the most awesome concert i've been to in years! the band's love for new orleans is genuine and shines through. I loved hearing "the saints are coming" and billie joe saying this is the only city in which they will ever play that song after playing it with U2 in the superdome after katrina. i believe that's why a shortened version of "wake me up when september ends" was added - because they played that during in the superdome before the saints game as well.
There is one thing missing from this list... They also did a medley of Really Got me Now (Kinks), Aint Talkin bout love (Van Halen), Eye of the Tiger (Survivor), and Iron Man (Black Sabbath). And during King for a day he sang lyrics to the song's Free Fallin' (Tom Petty), Break on through (The Doors), and Ill Be There (Unknown)

looks like new orleans is the only tour stop that got "wake me up when september ends" which is one of the ones i so wanted to hear. they not only played it in the superdome with "the saints are coming? (and look out - they're coming soon! lol) but it has a very special meaning to me. i thought it was strange that brad pitt was in our section, i couldn't even imagine he's a green day fan! but what the heck! i truly believe new orleans got the very best of green day on this tour!
