¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! Tour begin in november...
I love the note at the end.. BS they gave them a minutes notice in the middle of their show.
@deathbat
We talked to one of the producers Saturday night. Green Day asked to have the telepromter tell them when they had one minute left.
their set wasnt cut short...they got ~30 minutes and they played ~30 minutes
I just watched the whole thing, and he says about 25 minutes in that they have 9 minutes left. He knew how long they had, and after all the bad rap about this show, they actually did a great job. And I'm a moderate Green Day fan. The crowd sucked, but thats understandable. Its a pop audience, not a rock-punk one. Bottom line is though, he knew exactly how long he had, and whether they deserved longer or not, its a festival and there are time regulations. The solution is don't play corporate festivals if you don't want a time limit. They certainly a big enough that they don't have to and don't need the exposure unless they want it.
Wow... that is not the setlist at all. It was exactly what it was before you edited this. I like how your "setlist" doesn't include the now viral Basket Case performance even listed anywhere. Idiot.
What I heard was that they were cut short 20 minutes. Which is crap. But I'm sure Billie knew that before going on stage.
@Brenen: either he knew it before going onstage or he knew it well before the last minute of their set. He says when they have 9 minutes left "Oh, I got 9 minutes left." Then at 4 minutes left he said "I've got 4 minutes now. Probably just one more song" or something like that. So unless he thought they were just going to ignore that, he knew well in advance how much time he had. Also, I don't see why he didn't just play past their allotted time if he didn't care so much. Then when the festival cut them off, Green Day would look like the heroes that they totally ignored their time limit and did it for the music.
No intro tape at this festival, just two people announcing Green Day and they go straight into American Idiot-
Don't change the name of the tour, 99 Revolutions begins today in Pomona
