was at the show...thankfully they added Wrathchild up front unlike Dallas...but nothing all night from Piece of Mind or Powerslave? Uncool.
They changed "Brighter Than A Thousand Suns" for "Wrathchild" and "Paschendale" was changed for "Dance" Of Death!!!...
I already heard Wrathchild live enough, I would like to see Brighter Than a Thousand Suns instead, and well, between Paschendale and Dance of Death.. why not both, and Rainmaker, leaving out the Ghost of the Navigator, Wildest Dreams and if there isn't enough time, No More Lies?
great show! but absolutely nothing from piece of mind, powerslave, somewhere in time, or seventh son...kinda disappointing
Troy, they played songs from all those album on their last tour.
Why not play Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (The Song) for Fear of the Dark for Glen Helen San Manuel in Cal. Bruce it is a easy song for lyrics, but lyrics are great, It was a great abum, and the song gives you a break while the band rocks on for a while and the crowd goes crazy. I Bet everybody would agree that would be a nice change from FOTD, give you a break, nice change of pace from songs, and the croud will go crazy. That is the only change I would make.
This is a great set. The only change would be SSOTSS (Song) in exchange for FOTD. I think everyone would agree that would be a nice change from FOTD, give Bruce a nice break while the band rocks on, It's great Lyrics (Only 3 paragraphs) well 4, and a way better song than FOTD, and probably sold more albums. I love the drumming in this song, and the influction in the vocals from Bruce, and the guitars together, it would be a beutiful break from FOTD
It seems to me they're doing a concept show- A young punk(wicker man)- joins the army(pashendale)-gets out(wildest dreams)- becomes dissillusioned(no more lies)- starts kicking ass(fear of the dark-encore)- DONT CHANGE A THING!!
WHY NO SONG OFF POWERSLAVE? It was the best album with Bruce... I really only enjoyed all the songs on every album from the 80's.. After Janick joined just kinda went down hill for me.....
metal maiden you're not a fan of maiden you're a nostalgia buff that's de reason that you are dissapointing with the set list, fuck off wrathchild, come on brighter than a thousand suns!
i loved the show, though i would've rathered Brighter than A Thousand Suns over wrathchild, but overall great concert, im so glad they played these colours dont run and Ghost of the Navigator, kind of upset they didnt play anything off of powerslave or piece of mind, considering this was my first maiden show would've loved to hear a few more classics, but, not complaining, cant wait for them to come back around here
They played paschendale - I was there
If someone found this site to post negative comments after show couldn't they have found this site beforehand, downloaded the setlist, burned a cd of the setlist songs and alternates, found a lyrics site, refreshed their memory of these more current songs being performed on this tour and witnessed the mastery of the performance? That is what I did and the show in Concord Calif was awesome. So glad they allowed me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of the greatness of some of the newer songs by playing them in the set. Anyone complaining did not do their homework for the show. Thanks for the internet and a little common sense I had a great time.
Please keep the 2010 and 2011 tours separate. There's a huge (six month) gap between them and they both have very different setlists.
