Thanks for updating thí in real time! Great setlist, after a classics tour, a 2000`s sóng tour. I love it
nothing off powerslave? dang, kinda dissapointing but other than that, thats a pretty sweet set.
WHAT......THE......HELL! NOTHING OFF POWERSLAVE OR PEICE OF MIND! IM SORRY BUT I JUST LOST A LITTLE EXCITMENT OF SEEING YOU GUYS IN JULY.
dammit i thought they said it wouldnt cover the whole history of the band. other than fear, they sorta left out 18 years
Plenty of Powerslave on the last tour so not suprising. They've got balls playing all this newer stuff.
This setlist is awsome guys. I cant wait to see them on the 19th!
Considering the last tour was all hits from the 80's (except fotd) this is an outstanding setlist for this tour!!!! Can't wait for Albuquerque!!!!!!!
yeah great set list, but a little disappointed that they didnt play dance of death,
Only disappointing thing, Ghost of the Navigator and Wildest Dream. if they would have changed them with just that Alexander The Great Bruce hinted to during the last tour.. I would have died happy, having seen three amazing gigs (a matter of the beast - 25th anniversary of TNOTB, Somewhere Back in Time, and this post-reunioncentric setlist)
Wow im a lil dissapointed with about half the setlist ummmm they didnt even do run to the hills u know the song that gets the most radio play whcih personally got me into madien
i just noticed, THEY DIDNT EVEN PLAY RUN TO THE HILLS!!!!!!!! i agree with cesar if your gunna play new stuff, at least play dance of death. this is probaboly the most dissipointing setlist ive ever seen
they have said many times they will never play alexander the great live
Funny how wrathchild and the trooper come and go so much. I think phantom of the opera should be played more, and the prisoner.
they did play run to the hills last song of the encore
what? no run to the hills??
hoping to see them on ecuador for the next year
People just love to complain....nobody is ever happy.......Jesus.....these guys have a taster from the new album and a great set of songs they haven't played much.....give it a rest and enjoy what you are about to see and hear. Have you missed Run To The Hills in the last 28 years??? The Trooper in the past 27? I'm glad they got a rest on this PART of the tour....remember the full tour is next year and it will most likely be different songs on that tour!
why play run to the hills again? it's been played to death so why waste precious time with it? great song, but enough already
and that was Running Free on the last song of the encore...not Run To The Hills..
OHMIGOD, NO WAY!!!!!!! I'M STUCK IN THE PAST!!! THIS TOUR NEEDS TO BE ALL CLASSICS AND NO NEW STUFF!!!!!!!ELEVENONE!!!!!!11!!!1!!!!!!!
OK guys, seriously, let's be realistic. I LOVE this setlist. In fact, my heart almost stopped when I read "Paschendale". "wicker Man", and "These Colors Don't Run". Do you want to know why?
Because the band are showing that they AREN'T slaves to the so-called "fans" who need their 80s doses!!!!
Come on guys give the band a break. They played all their 80s stuff on the Somewhere Back in Time tour. I thought you guys would have been happy. I went to that tour and it was the best night of my life. But when I read this setlist, my jaw hit the floor. I got into Maiden when AMOLAD came out. My first Maiden CD was PS, yet the first one I BOUGHT was AMOLAD. Then the other 2 Reunion. I LOVE that Maiden play their new stuff!!! This is called THE FINAL FRONTIER tour. Not the "We're Washed Up To The Point Where We Have to Please Fans" tour. So knowing that Maiden played all old stuff last year and all new stuff this year, I can say this is an amazing set. Can't wait for Edmonton!!! This will KICK ASS!!!
One question though. What's the intro? Did they use Arthur's Farewell like on the BNW tour or something new?
someone just said run to the hills was the last encore and not running free, anyone else confirm that?
Damn....i cant get over this. only 5 classics! and i became a fan of maiden right when they announced somewhere back in time tour so yeah this will be my first maiden concert and i only get to hear 5 classics
people need to remember than every maiden concert is alot of people's first
My complain was a lighty one :) I'm thrilled to death because Paschendale is one of my all-time favourites, and Brighter than a thousand suns still is one the best (imho) songs on A matter of life and death.
I agree with run to the hills though, I was getting a bit tired of it. I'm glad to see 2 minutes to midnight gone too, can't stand it anymore (sorry guys!)
I'm also excited for Blood Brothers and No More Lies.
I knew about Alexander the Great, but I thought that maybe this time they changed their mind because Bruce hinted at it in some shows during the somewhere back in time world tour :) I'm still happy! And I'm going to buy the ticket asap
Anybody...? Intro???
i agree that if i had been a maiden fan for 30 years i would be tired of run to the hills but jesus im only 14. and what the hell, no aces high!!!!!!!! they couldve at least opened with it thats the classic maiden opener
I don't know for sure why they don't play Alexander the Great, but I'd imagine it's because it's too difficult lyrically, kind of like To Tame a Land. Read the lyrics, who would want to sing that stuff.
...thank god ''Run to the hills''& older material gettin' a rest, & i for one am happy set is focusing on songs from 2000 - 2010.
Nathan, I was fourteen when I got into Maiden too. That was four years ago. I'm 18 now. I've seen them only once. I got to see Maiden play Aces High. What a bonechilling moment it was... I was blown away. Bruce pointed RIGHT AT ME during the solo.
How old was I when I saw them? 16. I had already heard all their stuff and owned 98% of their discography.
I can see your POV. I'd have felt the same way if this was my first Maiden concert and I wasn't as hardcore.
However, do realize that Maiden played all their classics in 2008. They are fresh out of the studio with a new album. This balances it out perfectly because this setlist is 97% new stuff. I'm THRILLED to hear these songs that I've yearned to hear. My only complaint is that I'd have loved to have heard Journeyman, that would have made me cry tears of joy. But that's a small complaint to the point where it can't even be seen. I am AMAZED at this setlist. I am so stoked. I think Maiden are going in the right directon and balancing their shows out.
This will be my second time, and without a doubt, the best.
if i had to chose new stuff for them to play it would be; The Wicker Man, Blood Brothers, Ghost of the Navigator ,Brighter than a Thousand Suns, Dance of Death, Paschendale. Other than that, the rest should be classics. except the new song
EDDIE- Yeah I know that. They do that all the time. But what about the orchestral intro before TWM and the pyros?
aces high was played all of last tour and they didnt always open with aces high as often as people think. im glad theyre not playing it this time. probably the only song im disappointed is not being played is the Trooper. but oh well i love their new material
Absolutely, it's following their pattern - new stuff, old stuff, new stuff, old stuff. This is an awesome collection of newer Maiden. I'd like to hear more than just one off the new album though, but I guess that's next year.
We all can dream. When the album gets released, the setlist can be different. Maybe they'll change the setlist like they did in 2007 for the extra leg of the AMOLAD. But for now, we have this and we should be happy.
Its not that im not a hardcore fan and dont know the new stuff its just i wish i wouldve been a huge fan for SBIT tour. really, really dissapointed that i might never get to hear phantom of the opera, wrathchild, RUN TO THE HILLS FOR CHRIST SAKES. I MIGHT NEVER GET TO HEAR RUN TO THE HILLS LIVE! the trooper, revelations, aces high, 2 midnight, or wasted years live. And looking back at the setlist like a year and a half ago ALL THOSE SONGS ARE ON IT!!!! Guess im too late.....
Also, I'll let people know that Doctor Doctor isn't an intro. It's played as a cue for the band owning Flight 666 on Blu-ray and watching the documentary on the Death on the Road DVD, It's the cue for Maiden to go to the stage. Therefore they get prepared for it. When I mean intro, I mean the little intro that plays when House lights go off and before they go onstage.
Nathan, don't worry. Run to the Hills goes away once in a while, but it always comes back sooner or later.
I'm not saying you're not HXC, I'm saying you should be happy you get to see Maiden live because you may never see them live again. Just trying to be fair again. I may never get to hear Journeyman live. Yet I'm happy enough with the setlist and the fact that I am seeing the best band ever live again. So just live in the moment and have a fun time! June 26th can NOT come soon enough for me!
i'm seeing them on the 4th last show in cleveland. anyone think the set will change by then?
oh well, at least i get to watch the big four in theaters june 22 lol!
Knowing their recent pattern, they usually don't change the setlist. Just go and have fun man! Have a blast and have a real party there. I'm going to the June 26th in Edmonton, Canada and I honestly can not take waiting anymore.
As for DT's setlist... it's good but knowing them they usually change so here it is for those who want it:
01.As I AM
02.A Rite of Passage
03.Home
04.A Nightmare to Remember
05.Pull Me Under
Oh don't worry im excited as shit still im just a little dissapointed
VERY excited to see Paschendale performed live again, its seriously the best song they have written in like 20 years, and they only did like 4 US dates on the Dance Of Death tour, so that will be a real treat for folks.
I can understand but maybe you'll have a bit of change in heart as the days go by. Dude, your first Maiden show... prepare to have tons of fun man, i'm excited for ya. I remember my first and there was nothing like it. This is my second and I know for sure it'll blow the first time out of the water. it'll be the night of my life man!!
...so no intro yet? Huh. In case they just ran onstage after the lights went out. Rather odd of them.
It's an excellent selist... they don't need to play classics in order to show they're the best...
Very very surprised, but all in all happy...totally agreed the past hits were played on recent tours so try something new! Sort live in the past...but i'd love to throw in Caught Somewhere in Time,. Flight Of Icarus, The Prisoner, Infinite Dreams, Phantom, and end it with Killers! Newer stuff...The Legacy, Different World, Dance Of Death, Gates Of Tomorrow, The Longest Day, Lord Of Light....
This is clearly a setlist meant to please the superfans. Me not being a superfan, and seeing Maiden for the first time, I thought it sucked. And only 45 minutes of DT. Disappointing night. But hope you guys have fun at the rest of the tour, if this is your thing.
Looking at it its an Amazing setlist. The Wicker Man is a great opener. i would however loved to have heard For the Greater Good Of God There best song of AMOLAD. But beggers cant be choosers. I hope to god they come to Australia
Any news or word on what Eddie looks like???
I'm glad everyone else liked it, as an old-time Maiden fan, new-era Maiden doesn't do it for me like the old stuff...and sorry, I didn't make the drive to Houston 2 years ago when they completely blew off Dallas, so having not seen them since 1988, yeah, I was very disappointed.
What?!? No trooper, can i play with madness?? Wheres the powerslave and piece of mind? Such a great list for somewhere back in time. WTF MAIDEN?
What a terrible show.
Here's a tip for bands who were big a quarter century ago. If you've sold fewer albums (in the US) in the last ten years than the number of people in attendance at one of your shows (in the US), it's generally not a good idea to play songs from that time period EXCLUSIVELY for the first hour and 15 minutes.
At least give us another half hour if you're going to bore us with so much new song wankery. 105 minutes? That's a rip off.
I expected to see a lot of people already defending the setlist and getting themselves excited to see these songs performed live. That's fine. But I can tell you the energy was completely sucked out of the crowd by the time Brave New World (which is a great song) was played.
There was almost a sarcastic cheer when Fear of the Dark was introduced. A nice encore, if a bit predictable, but there was a lot of standing around in disbelief when it became apparent that the show was over.
This is the kind of set you play in a small venue and charge $200 for, so you can limit the audience to those who will appreciate the rare gems they're getting to hear. When you're playing for 12K people, you HAVE to mix in more of your hits. Iron Maiden has plenty of great songs. Too bad we got to hear so few of them.
Hey wtf and disappointed, did you notice that this is a show SUPPORTING TFF? Bruce even said that they were playing more recent material on this tour in interviews. Too bad the crowd are sheep, I personally am excited and cannot wait. This is NOT a greatest hits tour. Shame the sheep can't see that.
OK so how was the actual performance guys?
Could have stood for a compromise of half old and half new. By the time they played four songs of old stuff I was ready to fall asleep
If they were supporting TFF, why only one song from TFF?? Give me a break.
Most people don't read interviews. A band can play recent material and still mix in a better selection of older material. It doesn't have to be hits. Give us some deep cuts from POM or Powerslave.
Or do both but play an extra hour. Then everybody wins! The show was short and boring. But have fun with it. Being prepared for what you're in store for is probably a good thing. The Maiden fan standing in front of me who knew every word of every song but was visibly bored an hour in was not so lucky.
Bob, FYI, Doctor Doctor was what was played after the house lights went out. I don't know what the intro was, though. 45 seconds of insignificance.
An Old Fan - Now a NEW fan
I got my first Maiden record (Piece of Mind) and saw them live for the first time 25 years ago, when I was 11. I've seen Maiden about 8 times live over the years.
I can honestly say, I was nothing short of COMPLETELY impressed at how awesome this concert was. Yes, the majority of the show was pulled from their last 3 albums...but the setlist was perfectly crafted and it was honestly like seeing an amazing new band at the top of their game. Good for them for not doing the obvious and playing the same songs they've been churning out over the past quarter-century. They clearly gave this a lot of thought, and I think they beyond pulled it off....they played amazing, the songs sounded fresh, they were full of energy, and it was a great show. Hell, I only have "Brave New World", so I only knew about 1/3 of the songs....and it was still jaw-dropping! I will immediately buy "Dance of Death" and "Matter of Life and Death", and the new one when it comes out. I'm ashamed that I haven't kept up...god knows, these guys have kept their songwriting and playing skills up!
I love the old stuff....really, I do....more than you could ever know. It doesn't get any better than the first 7 albums. But this concert was awesome!!
Run to the Hills...and all classic stuff can be found on countless live albums and DVD's. Go watch and listen to them. Love the majesty of those songs. BUT, then go to this concert and see that our idols are still f*cking awesome and on top of their game with a great NEW concert....not some lame recycled Rolling Stones, KISS or AC/DC concert (btw, I love all of those bands too).
These guys kicked ass, and if you didn't like it...you weren't listening or watching, and probably aren't really a music lover at all.
I actually went to this concert, it was a great show, but I was disappointed when they didn't play really good songs like "The Trooper," "Powerslave," "Aces High," "Wasted Years" and others. I'm okay with them not doing "Run to the Hills" they are probably extremely sick of that song. It was a great show anyway!
O.K. BEFORE ANYONE COMPLAINS ABOUT THIS SETLIST, REMEMBER THIS- SINCE 1999 WHEN BRUCE REJOINED THE BAND, THERE HAVE BEEN 4 GREATEST HITS RETRO TOURS.
1-ED HUNTER TOUR 1999 GREATEST HITS TOUR.
2-EDWARD THE GREAT 2003 GREATEST HITS TOUR
3-EARLY YEARS TOUR 2005 GREATEST HITS TOUR WITH 1980-1984 SONGS
4-SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME TOUR 2008 GREATEST HITS TOUR.
SO REMEMBER THIS- THATS A LOT OF GREATEST HITS TOURS FROM A BAND THAT HAS MADE 4 STUDIO ALBUMS SINCE 2000. SOME METAL BANDS JUST TOUR, TOUR, TOUR AND ARE PRETTY MUCH ON THE OLDIES CIRCUT.
THERE ARE ONLY 4 SONGS BEING PLAYED ON THIS TOUR THAT WERE PLAYED ON THE SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME TOUR, THE OTHER 13 HAVE BEEN TAKEN OUT. YOU HAVE TO GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR GOING BACK AND RELEARNING 14 SONGS AGAIN THAT HAVENT BEEN PLAYED IN OVER 5 YEARS. THATS UNHEARD OF CONSIDERING MOST OF THEM ARE 6 MINUTES PLUS.
But they are amazing musicians, it's easier for them to relearn all of those songs since they played already hundreds of time each one.. F--- I can't wait until august..
Aces high, run to the hills, 2 minutes to midnight, powerslave, can I play with madness, evil that men do, trooper, Wasted years. They could have at least threw in a couple of those..
Just to correct the Dream Theater setlist (not to sound conceited or anything but I'm as close to 100% sure as possible that this is correct; they are my favorite band):
1. As I Am
2. A Rite of Passage
3. Home
4. Constant Motion
5. Panic Attack
6. Pull Me Under
They stuck to their medium-length, heavy songs which was to be expected. Ironically, this was the first time I have seen Pull Me Under live. Too bad they couldn't have played for longer...
I thought Iron Maiden's set was great... Biggest highlights for me included No More Lies, Blood Brothers, Fear of the Dark, and the whole encore. Up the irons!
Powerslave played in somewhere back in time tour , also THIS TOUR is a "preparing tour" for the new album , The Final Frontier, and they will go on a new tour right after it wil be launched.
I appreciate that they've just done a retrospective tour, but still feel they should at least include classics like 2 Minutes to Midnight, Run to the Hills and The Trooper. A set without them is like a Metallica set without Sad but True or Creeping Death.
FYI the intro music was part of a Star Wars movie score, but not the theme or the Imperial March... one of the more obscure pieces. Eddie's reveal wasn't exactly what I was expecting. A bit like the predator. Fascinating how he works, mechanically though. He actually wrestled a guitar away from (Adrian?) and tried to play it.
And another thought about the contemporary setlist: This was the first show of the tour. It's not uncommon for bands to add material as they're able to work out more pieces during soundchecks as they go. El Dorado will be the only new song they play on this tour, as they don't want the whole album up on YouTube before it gets released.
You people complaining about the setlist sicken me... Somewhere Back in Time tour was a GIFT to the fans.. that was your chance to LIVE IN THE PAST... BUY FLIGHT 666....Treasure the FACT that these MUSICIANS are still together and making new music.. For me, I cannot wait to sit and read the lyrics while listening for the first time.. you young 18-25 or whatever year old fans need to really check yourselves.... Appreciate the music... Yes the classics are exactly that.. CLASSICS. if you do not appreciate the last 3 albums and the free gift of "El Dorado" then take your lack of knowledge elsewhere...
FUCKING AMERICANS whining again that maiden wont stay stuck in the 80s fuck off and listen to something else Maiden are a band with more bollocks than any other they are a british band and will not compromise for you lot there is always american idol if you want to watch the same old shite! UP THE FUCKING IRONS!
Seriously, everybody commenting that they're not playing the classics needs to grow the fuck up! That was the whole point of the last tour. If you missed it, then too bad, its your own fault.
I personally am thrilled to bits with this setlist and am looking forward to them coming back to roost in England at Sonisphere Festival on the 1st August. I saw them two years ago at Twickenham at their last show here in Britain and I saw Trooper, Madness, Midnight et al then. Why would I want to see them now? I wanna hear something a bit different.
And as Bruce said on the last tour, Maiden are not some fossil dragging the bones around of past glory days just giving fans a classic setlist every night. The main reason for the last tour was because their fanbase has been getting younger over the years and they wanted to give those younger fans the chance to see some of the classic songs that they weren't around to see when they were first played. They've done that now and the result is the fantastic DVD Flight 666.
If you wanna see a band who plays the same setlist over and over again every single night and includes all the classics, go see Status Quo. If you wanna see a band who aren't afraid to give you a setlist without some of their best known songs, therefore maybe helping you rediscover a love for a more recent song or to introduce newer fans to the material, whilst at the same time putting on a stage show nothing short of spectaculer, go see Iron Maiden.
Quite disappointing setlist, I must say... They could have played some more stuff from the classic albums, and not necessarily just the classics. For instance: Alexander the Great, Flight of the Icarus. Though, I'd say change 2-3 new songs into old ones, including: The Trooper, Wrathchild and that would be quite good.
Steve, if it weren't for us F'ing Americans you would be a small island on the west coast of Germany right now!
Oh great, Uncle Sam brought up the war. Im braced for a British patriotism attack now!
...*yawn* a desperate stab I'm afraid. Who cares anymore? i'm more pissed off that some of your country is too narrow-minded to understand that Iron Maiden are not about to go around playing the same songs every night just to sell out arenas, please the fans and make more money. That's not what they're about, unlike Metallica.
good set i was just hoping for powerslave, the clairvoyant, where eagles dare, and murders in the rue morge
I was there last night. Dream Theater was awesome as usual but man only 50 minutes. They blew Iron Maiden away. A lot people complained of the short time slot and that Iron Maiden played only fron the last three albums with the exception of a few songs. It seems that Bruce Dickenson lied when he said "this time it will cover the whole history of the band". What a bunch of crap. Iron Maiden SUCKS!!!!!!!!
This setlist makes me excited as hell to see them! Do you guys really want the same songs over and over, tour after tour? It's awesome that they are changing things up.
Who cares about Maiden anyway, they are way past the due date. I recommend you dont buy a ticket and spend the money on Metallica's latest ffing ROCKING album instead. YEAH!
They were great. Recording of Doctor Doctor by UFO was a great idea to start the show with. They played fantastic musicianship and sounded beautiful. BUT What the hell is up with the setlist?
They need to rethink that. This was the first show. I hope you guys 4 shows in or so get a different setlist than this so more of the crowd knows the songs
Hey, I'm back from a nice, long sleep.
Anyways. You people bashing Maiden for this setlist and saying that DT blew Maiden away because of Maiden's setlist are so cute. It's a clear reminder of why I hate Americans. And actually, all the setlist complaints are only making me more excited for the concert on the 26th. That means I'll get to go see Maiden prove that they don't have to play classics every tour to be the best band. In fact, where I live, I've heard people say "I wanna hear some Dance of Death stuff live". So that said, I think people should prepare themselves for an amazing time.
And THANKS Steve for the intro comment. Which SW movie and which scene does it play? I have the movies on DVD so I'll go watch it when I get home from school to see what the song is.
Hey Mr. Metallica like we would listen to your recomendation to listen to a country and western band of has beens.
going to houston show on friday hope they change the set put more oldies on there
I'm surprised to see so many negative comments on here about this setlist - Down in the pit, everyone loved it! Tons of energy, and tons of singing along.
Personally, I thought it was an amazing show that did justice to a lot of their newer stuff. Looking forward to TFF!
The intro music was by Gustav Holst called "The Planets". It was not the Star Wars score as reported by Steve. Where the hell did you get that from?
I personally was not concerned about the setlist. I was just glad to see them again since they skipped Dallas last time. My night was made after they played "Paschendale" and "Brighter Than A Thousand Suns" anyway. Maiden has always done what they want and don't compromise. People should be used to that by now.
this setlist looks AWESOME !!!!
I'm EVEN MORE PSYCHED than before!
This is a killer setlist !!!
My bad, I've gone back and listened to what I've got from last night... fm's comment is correct. The intro was "Mars: Bringer of War" from Holst's The Planets. John Williams is hugely influenced by Holst, so much of Star Wars ended up sounding like it.
It's a clear reminder of why I hate Americans."
please do not generalize or stereotype an entire nation.I LOVE this setlist and I'm American.I think AMOLAD is their strongest album they've ever made in fact.
Unlike Iron Maiden, all of Metallica's new stuff sucks. So STFU. Cant wait to see Maiden on the 19th.
Ive read through the comments that they did also play run to the hills can we clear this whole thing up from someone who went if they did or didnt play it thanks
PASCHENDALE!!!!!!
Never thought I'd get to see that live again! Can't wait for Sonisphere now!
They did not play "Run to the Hills". They played "Number of the Beast" and "Hallowed be thy Name"
I agree with me. I'm American and I love the new stuff. I wish they had played more off of AMOLAD!! Was hoping for "Lord of Light" and "Longest Day"..but now I'm being picky. It was awesome...sounded better than ever. I love those guys!!
This is bloody awesome!
although it should be rainmaker not wildest dreams...
i hope they keep this setlist when they come over here to play sonisphere
To be honest, this is an amazing setlist! I was expecting them to play the same old same old Powerslave/Piece of Mind/TNOTB era songs, but no. I was expecting them to play at least SOME songs they have neglected to play live over the past 10 years, but the managed to squeeze all of the good ones into one setlist! Awesome...wish I was there. :)
going to the houston show and i think this is a real meaty setlist.i really like it. ive seen them everytime they play houston but they never came during the dance of death or a matter of life or death tour so we are finally hearing lots of these songs live.i luv this new ear of maiden and im glad they r playing alot from it def. a brave new world.i for one is sick of hearing run to the hills.im so sike ,,,,this is going to be a great show!up the irons!!!
Setlist is correct. To be honest the show was good but not great. The weather was perfect. Thought it was going to be a sweatfest but it turned out to be in the 70's with a cool breeze.
It was hiliarious after the three song encore and just butchuring the running free song with a lot of banter and wasted talk. Soon after they took off stage. The crowd stuck around a little longer than normal thinking they were coming back out. Didnt happen. They have just alienated many long time fans. Good day to you, you bloody limey's. I hope the yanks take the limey's to the woodshed come saturday.
no long time fans could be alienated with this setlist give me a break. !
i seriously cannot figure out why ANYONE would complain at this setlist, it is awesome ! There is old, there is new, there is sorta middle career as well.It is great. An excellent mix all around !
And by thee way, all of there last three albums this last decade have gone certified gold or more in sales so the fans do like 'em and wanna hear 'em.And The Final Frontier well go gold as well.
I thought I smelled rampant fanboyism as I walked past this message board...To the individuals launching the attacks on people who didn't like the setlist...get a life , you are the perpetrators of the aforementioned fanboyism. Someone criticizes your beloved band and you have to immediately hurl insults and try to shame people by saying they are not true fans blah blah.. come on...it's so predictable and childish.
I was at the show in Dallas and I thought the setlist was weak. There is such a thing as balance, play some new stuff, but mix in some of the classics (more than 2 or 3)
It's pretty arrogant when a band throws out a setlist like this. It says .. "if you like us, you have to like EVERY album we have ever done or we don't care about you"
And as for the guy who took a swipe at americans. I would rather be an ugly american than a bigot. I have absolutely no use for people like you.
While the show did kick ass (it really did) I wish there were more classics. The last time I saw Maiden was the infamous Ozzfest 05 show where Sharron Osborne had eggs pelted at them and pulled their sound. Four times.
great selection
no old stuff except for some classics... makes it very good, and it's good they changed run to the hills for running free to close the concert!
personally i don't like much no more lies and wildest dreams...
rainmaker is way better and journeyman (just talking bout dance of death songs)
i'd change wildest and no more lies for rainmaker and some from the blaze era...
maybe the clansman or the edge of darkness...
but i don't complain... the set is great!
longtime fan gonna see them for the first time. gotta say that setlist is a fucking huge disappointment.
of all the good songs on their first album, they choose the 2 worst ones. NOTHING from killers, POM, powerslave, SIT, 7th son -are you kidding me??? this is their bread and butter. all their newer 7 minute mature adult 'epics' are total crap compared to their prime material. i swear they have like 80 good songs and somehow put together a setlist encompassing basically the worst possible songs they have. hey at least Hallowed is in there...
To all you whiners...I was a huge fan of Maiden in the 80's, with POM being my all time favourite album. Having said that, I am totally pumped about this show. I thought I would never see them, then SBIT, saw them twice. Now another show. Yeah, I don't know all the songs but I wasn't expecting a SBIT renunion tour. Just thrilled to see Maiden again....."don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years" and don't waste my time crying about them.
They have done the "classic" songs a million times on a million different tours I swear !
They have played in the US since 1981 !!! people, how many times have you either heard, or had the opportunity to hear Icarus, Number, Trooper, Aces, Hallowed, and so on ?
Give me a break please ! The classics have been played a BILLION times and are even on the classic radio stations now all the time !
THIS IS 2010 !!! They are musically a better band, tighter, more precise than ever, let them show you and listen to the absolute awesomeness of stuff off Brave New World and A Matter Of Life... !!! There are some just friggin killer songs with the best lyrics they have ever written. It is just sad how you clamor for the same son over and over and over and ...
This is the perfect setlist for me. I saw the Early Days tour (2005) and the Somewhere Back In Time tour (2008) so I've seen the 80's songs. I haven't seen songs from Brave New World or Dance Of Death before, and I love those albums. So I'm very excited to see this setlist!
To those of you that missed the 2005 and 2008 tours, or if this is your first time seeing Iron Maiden, I can understand your disappointment. But I would bet they have at least 1 more "hits" tour left in them for the future, so you can hopefully take comfort in that. Not to mention, where were you 2 years ago?! :-)
Yeah I am dissapointed that they are not playing a few more classics since this is my first Iron Maiden show, but they do have a good selection of new songs. The only thing I would change is wildest dreams for dance of death. And if you're going to play mostly new material, add 2 or 3 songs for all the people whos first time it is so they can hear run to the hills and the trooper.
This set list has completely killed any excitement I had with seeing them. If I didn't have a buddy coming in from out of town I'd be selling my tickets.
I can't believe that bitch would do that to IM. What is her problem? I've never heard of that but I wouldn't put it past SO. Now I am not going to buy Ozzies new album scream. I've heard of other raunchy things she has done. The only thing I would like to see changed in the Setlist is SSotSeventh Son in exchange for FearOTD. I am 50 and Love all Maiden songs, probably the newer ones more than the old, they are more metal than rock with great lyrics and ballads, and that is a hard mixture to master. Bruce is going hard core and everyone should appreciate it, I know I am going to love it.
C'mon guys dont be nasty with the comments! We all know Metallica is global #1 and Maiden is soooo outdated, beside Jannick is a clown.
I was listening to Metallica when you guys were still on your mums titty. So dont tell this old captain how to ffing rock this place!!!
Maiden died 40 years ago and the setlist sucks
the setlist is absolutely brilliant ... I am really really REALLY excited to go and see them.
metallica and maiden comparisons are dumb.they are two completely different bands and styles musically.
Mr Metallica is surely grasping at straws. Metallica has done NOTHING new in decades. I liked Master of the Puppets... that was 'new' and different. Since then, they've done nothing but ride on the success of that ONE album.
For the past 20 years, every song sounds the same.
And please... don't make me bring up the vocals. He has the range of a Golf Cart made by Yugo with dead batteries.
I am a bit disappointed with the setlist. Not playing 2 Minutes or Aces High is like Rush not playing Tom Sawyer.
It's not a bad setlist, but I would like to see those two songs added back in. Or perhaps Powerslave. Take out Paschendale and Blood Brothers and replace with Aces and 2 Minutes. Now, that would be a kick butt set.
JMHO
this setlist kicks major ass! they are playing my fave songs!! cant wait to see them in san bernardino!!, and cant for the new album to come out!!
Wished for a better setlist... but me and my buddy are in the pit in Denver on Monday.
Would love to add a coupld of songs... but WTH... Maiden never disappoints live. Will be there... will enjoy... Up the Irons!
Enjoyed El Dorado. Had to listen to it a few times... and (like most of their songs that don't kick your butt right away), it grew on me.
I love it now.
Excited about the new album.
Guys why are you so relentlessly dumb? Take it from the old captain here: Metallica is here to stay, Maiden died when they released their first Album.
Metallica has written legenary song like Enter Sad Man and Master of Pupit. You cannot deny that.. look at the facts
If you look at the set list above it is the same old Maiden songs that you heard for 20 years or so, nothing new, doesnt it get boring??? All these songs are 20+ years old
Curious to know
mr metallica your facts are so wrong about how old the majority of the songs are on this stour
"enter sandman" is by no means at all a "legendary" song haha, creeping death and whiplash and seek n destroy probably are
in fact I'd say they have ZERO legendary songs after Puppets, whereas Maiden has several and has done superior songwriting their last ten years than their first ten years, musically they are the best they have ever been
each of the last three albums is gold certified and rising each day in sales
metallica lost many many fans in the nineties whereas MAIDEN is still a true global phenomenon
How can that be true? If it was I would be a Maiden fan too. But Im telling ya as an old cap'n: you aint right.
Look at it from a different angle: when maiden hired Jannick the circus was complete. Jannick the stupid bouncing clown who play ffing staccato-style, Nicko the clown in the back and Bruce the drag queen with his feather mask. Steve tops it off with his pink bass.
The only real cool guy is Adrian Smith. I own his signature guitar and play all of his songs!
Mr Metallica said:
"Enter Sad Man and Master of Pupit"
That just shows you the average intelligence of a Metallica fan. LOL.
Sad, but true. Have you guys been to a Met. concert? Holy crap. White Trash that makes NASCAR look like CEOs.
Mr. Met said: "Metallica has written legenary song like Enter Sad Man and Master of Pupit."
Gee... taht's TWO... both written DECADES ago.
Nothing new... doesn't it get boring?
Master is 25 years old and Sandman is almost 20. And you biatch? LOL!
Pete_Mote, keep fucking dreaming. England are gonna slaughter you guys on Saturday. Prepare to bomb out of South Africa 2010 first round mate.
Mr Metallica: Iron Maiden > Metallica. Else Metallica wouldn't have supported Maiden on tour one time, would they?
Thirdly, after thinking carefully, I can understand some people's frustration a lot better about the classics not being played. But I stand by what I said - Maiden are not about to churn them out every night just to please the fans, theyre gonna do things their own way, like they always have done. If you don't like it, don't see 'em. Simple.
Mr. Metallica have you seen Some Kind of Monster? WTF!! What a bunch of bitches. Those guys lost their sound after Justice, and still dont know how to find it.
Maiden songs are still musical, and they havent drifted too far from the original formula old cap'n.
pay no mind to the shit mr shitallica writes... he has no clue about MUSIC at all...
besides he surely doesn't know mustaine wrote much of the "good" metallica songs and then got kicked... whereas lars and james are always doing the same kind of shit... except for st anger... that was when they went to far... hahahaha
Anyone going to the Houston show and sitting on the lawn? I will be leaving after Dream Theater. I have tickets on row w and will be willin to sale my stub to anyone who whats to buy them for a closer view of Maiden.
I think this new setlist is a sham...now dont get me wrong i like alot of the new era maiden stuff but as an older fan that grew up on the classic stuff which in my opinion is stronger material then anything thats been released since 2000. Anyways why couldnt thier be a compromise i would do away with an opening act and do a two set show one set would deal mainly with Classic Maiden followed by a set dealing mainly with the new Cd and stuff after 2000.. by the way for all those that say well they always play these old songs..i say this yeah its true they do but you know the thing is for most classic maiden fans is that in my opinion every song they have done up to and including Seventh son of a Seventh son and Somewhere in Time were great...heres an idea and i dont know why maiden doesnt do it... Mix up the old stuff play stuff like Revelations and infinite Dreams and Stranger in a Strange land with classics like Run to the hills Children of the damned number of the beast along with The Evil that men do would be awesome...i guess what im saying is they could always mix around and play classic songs that havent been played in awhile to satisfy the older generation...i just think its wrong to play only songs from one period of time.. i mean its not like they dont play the new stuff.. i live in florida so i dont get to see them all that often i saw them for Somewhere back in time and in 87 for Seventh son.. and while i agree that the somewhere back in time tour was meant specifically to play songs from that period lets face it that tour didnt play very many dates in the states . However For Seventh Son they played a nice rounded setlist of songs from Seventh son and the Somewhere in time album as well as a good mixture of older stuff.. i dont know why they feel the need to play only newer stuff .. not playing some of these classics is like an ozzy osbourne set list without Crazy train or Kiss not doing Rock n roll all night...there is a reason these songs are considered classic and so popular and thats because 1 they were so well written and two because people really love them
Wow. I'll be there in Denver with an open mind, but.........I guess I'll get to hear a lot of stuff for the first time. Love Maiden since the beginning, and I've got all the albums through the mid-90's but then I got old. I haven't kept up with the new albums and I know that's my fault. Any newcomers have any advice for me as far as which new album I should get and study in the next few days? Never even heard of the first 11 songs on this list.
I love the set list!!!!! To "i hate fucking americans", back off dude!!! Not every person in the states thinks maiden's best days were back in the 80's!!! I love the new stuff as much as the old stuff. July 15 blossom music center in the front fucking row baby!!!! Can't wait!!! Up the Irons!!!!
OK, so I did my research and see there are 3 songs from AMOLAD, 3 from Dance of Death and 4 from Brave New World. I gather El Dorado is off the new album. Fear of the Dark and 4 songs I've heard before. I'm sure there are a few hundred each night who will love this set, and several thousand who won't. I totally get the concept that they want to play stuff from the new albums.....to keep it fresh..... I guess I just wish they would mix in some of the older stuff. I'm sure I'll love the show anyway. It's f'ing Iron Maiden. Shows are always better when the crowd gets into it, though. To not play a classic until the last song of the main set is just bizarre.
Ok Guys I read thru about 1/3 of the comments. The setlist is correct. There was an intro and the UFO doctor doctor was just being played over the speakers just before the intro started. I saw a coupla Dream Theater setlists and that last one by Alex was correct except I got there late and missed As I Am. Iron Maiden setlist.....it was my first time to see then so I was a little dissappointed bc I wanted to hear the classics. But I don't blame them for playing the newer songs and do something different ya know and theyre awesome too.
Ok guys to check your comments I have gotten myself to listen to El Dorado.. First of all a Metallica rip-off, those riffs are the same. Take it from an old cap'n.
Metallica have produced the finest metal songs, all classics, especially on the Reload album. Songs like Grease the Lightning are legendary!!
I'd hardly call the clusterfuck of St. Anger a classic album. Although, I guess it could be seen as classic for all the WRONG reasons.
ReLoad was hard rock, not metal, and it's RIDE the Lightning. Nice try at trolling, but now you're uncovered, the old cap'n might as well go down with his ship....
fuck you, I have enough friends
going tonight in houston i pray they do more classics i dont mind the new stuff but not the whole show
How on earth playing songs from Brave New World which is OVER ten years old now is playing "new" or "newer" songs I don't know.
Fear Of the Dark is from 1992
Dance of Death is from 2003.
These songs are not "new" at all
Where the hell have some of you guys been ? I too have a job and a wife and responsibilities.I never turned off Maiden, I seriously am sad for you guys who have missed out on their best songwriting years and music, which is post 90s.
Soem of you guys crack me up seriously like you REALLY were Caught Somewhere In Time !
i cant believe theres no trooper or run to the hills! i dont live near any of their concerts and i was planning on traveling to new jersey to see them but idk about that now
Would rather have "Out of a Silent Planet" than flight of Navigators, and "Dream of Mirrors" rather than "Brave New World". Also I would trade in "Iron Maiden" and "Running Free" for whatever, I'm not into Bruce doing Di'anno songs. Regardless this setlist is awesome, and the how is going to be awesome!
also this is what you guys sound like...."I'M ON AN INTERENT MESSAGE BOARD THINGS UPSET ME, BLAH BLAH BLAH"
You defenders of the set list sound just as ridiculous, arguing on a message board, as the complainers. ...sayin'
*"ghost of the navagator" pardon
i'm sorry but i think i'm gonna gag.
No response to my question, huh? I'm on my way to pick up a CD....if they have any in stock. Again, I asked all the new maiden fans for advice about which of the three NEWER albums I might check out pre-show. I only have a couple of days to try to get into it. I'm sure the newer Maiden is great. I just haven't been exposed to it. The few times I have heard a song or two, like El Dorado....it just sounds like one too many guitars. Like I said above though, I'll have an open mind and I'm sure the show will rock even though thousands of us haven't heard this stuff before.
@BB
I would say you should get "Brave New World" but then again.. everyone has their own taste.
@BB
I agree with E5150 and not just because his name kicks ass. I like A Matter Of Life and Death Too.
If you are unfamiliar with post-2000 Maiden and are seeing them in only a few days, I would highly recommend 'Brave New World' (a masterpiece) and 'Dance of Death' (mostly really good, but a step or two down from BNW). Both albums are relatively easy listens, and you'll be familiar with 7 of those newer songs within a couple of listens. 'A Matter of Life or Death' is an incredible album and totally rules, but it seems like all the songs are sprawling epics and it takes a good month of serious listening to digest it all. It is my favorite Maiden album, but even I would recommend listening to that one last and with a bit of patience. I am a hard core Maiden fan for 25 years now, and I bet most fans would agree with my suggestions. Hope that helps. Cheers!
OK, I've been a fan for 10 years now, I've seen Maiden 5 times and I'll see them a sixth time in august. I don't care if run to the hills or another 80's classic is gone, they have been done a lot of times.
What I care is that they have done two 80's classic tours (in 2005 and in 2008) and now they do a 2000-2010, but
WHERE ARE THE 90's CLASSICS????
Fear of the dark is not the only one in the 90's!!
where are Afraid to shoot strangers? Sign of the Cross? Man on the Edge? The Clansman? Futureal??Two worlds collide??
They seem to do as if this period never existed..
since 2003 i'm most excited to see Blaze Bayley than the R.I.P Iron Maiden..
HE is still heavy metal, Maiden is no more..
I can see why this set list might be a let down to some people, but I personally am stoked. I first saw Maiden in 2005 when they were promoting the Early Days dvd, so I got to see a lot of stuff off the self titled and Killers, then a lot of stuff from powerslave and Piece of mind in 2008, now I get to see new Iron Maiden. I do wish they would play a few more classics, and Dance of Death would have been amazing.. but still, this tour will be amazing and you all know Maiden will NOT disappoint. It's going to be one hell of a show.
On a side note.. No Trooper or Run to the Hills? WTF?
to the true hardcore METAL fans:
tell me honestly, what do you prefer:
the last album of a true heavy metal headbanging b.a.s.t.a.r.d, Blaze Bayley:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyoco1hALMM
or the last pop soup of grandpas Maiden?
Wow, not many Blaze fan boys these days. Blaze almost ended Iron Maiden, the man has no range. I like all Iron Maiden, even Virtual XI and X Factor, but it doesn't compare to Brave New World, Dance of Death or A Matter of Life and Death.
@Lol
Blaze or not, Sign of the Cross or the Clansman are great songs!!
If you were a TRUE Maiden fan, you would have all the albums and would have loved the concert because you knew all the songs. You should have been more prepared. I absolutely loved it!
Again maiden sissies, take it from an old cap'n: Maiden is out of date. Metallica still shines brightly and is the true reincarnation of heavy metal. Songs like One, Dyers Evening and Wherever I Can Roam are just legendary!!!
Jannick is a clown anyway, doesnt fit Maiden
I like Dream Theatre, but I think it's time for Maiden to do entire shows without an opening band. When they have to start cherry picking songs to play and cutting out important ones, that's when you know it's time for a 3 hr set.
I was going to go last minute to the Houston show, but with Dream Theater only playing for 50 minutes, I decided to pass. Dream Theater deserves more than 50 minutes, that is like 5-6 songs at most. I love Maiden and always have and would have enjoyed their setlist, but should have been a double bill show like I thought it was and each got a longer set.
MrMetallica. Dyers Evening??? I hope that was a typo, because a true Metallica fan would not screw up a songs title like that. Personally I would not put anything from the black album or later in Metallica's top songs.
Look get the setlist on your MP3 player, or I-Pod. Then start to enjoy what you are about to experinence. And for all of you that are complaining - shut up! There are plenty of other Iron Maiden fans who would love to take your tickets. Take it from someone who lived in England when Maiden originated, they are now & will always be the best damn stage performance you will ever see. Stop crying you whimps, and enjoy the fact that your going to see IRON MAIDEN for God's sake.
boooooyaaaaaa \,,/
yep completely agree with you Rush: Jannick gers is a clown. Im signing up for the new Metallica tour, which will feature so many classics from their Load and Reload albums!! cant wait!!
Maiden is past the due data, some 40 years. Take it from an old heavy metal cap'n!
Personally i'm stoked for this tour, since seeing them for the first time in 1983 and hearing the same songs practically all the time it's good to see them shaking it up and playing their newer songs, which really are good songs, but they should not have an opening band.
They could play a 3hr. show with an intermission just like Rush does.
I've a mind to fly around the world and check out Guns N' Roses on their tour. They play for 3 hours and there isn't one classic left out. Axl is still ripping and roaring and Maiden hand us this shit? I foresee long beer lines.
I don't mind them doing new stuff but they shouldn't charge the high ticket prices for it. With this setlist instead of $70 bucks a ticket how about $40. I saw the POM tour so I have that to remember if I could LOL.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I guess it worked for the band, because I went out and bought all 3 newer discs. I've been cramming and jamming them all weekend. They're OK, and they might grow on me, but I doubt they will ever get to the status of Piece of Mind or Seventh Son, at least in my playlist! Still love Maiden and the show tonight is going to kick ass. I'm sure of that.
Thanks for the info guys, I'm driving 4hrs tomorrow from Juarez , Mexico to Albuquerque to see them, this will be my 3rd time and 2nd for Dream Theater.
Up the Irons !
Why dont they do what Rush does no opening act and they play for almost 3 hours. This will be the only way to get the new and classics in.
I saw the Somewhere Back in Time and I felt it was the best concert I have ever seen.
This is just reat! Love the setlist, that's for sure. When they get to Sweden in August it will be the third time I see them. I've been dreaming of hearing stuff from Brave new world and Dance of death live, but since they've been playing older stuff the last tours I didn't dare to get my hopes up.
But isn't this cool! If it would have been a popconcert, no one would call ten year old songs for "new stuff". Brave new world IS a classic. A modern classic compared to Number of the beast, but still a classic.
I'll be singning along from the top of my lungs, and I hope the audience will be as lively and loving as always here in Scandinavia. You have to experience it to understand... It's magic! Tickets sell out months in advance...
I love how Mr Metallica classes himself as an 'old cap'n', yet he suggests that Maiden are past their due date by 40 years, when they've not even been GOING for 40 years and won't have done until 2015. Maiden > Metallica any day of the week, cause Metallica don't have the balls to go on tour and not play Puppets, Sandman or One and comprise their setlist from Load onwards...
anything with hallowed be thy name is good enough with me

same^
Look guys, why the nasty comments? I am respectfully telling ya that Metallica is the global prime #1! Janick Gers is clown, you can tell by his silly stage presence. The only thing missing is a red nose. Classic Metallica songs like Master of Pupits are just megamegafantastic!
Maiden sucks, accept it! Dyers Evening rooooccccckkkksss!
If someone found this site to post negative comments after show couldn't they have found this site beforehand, downloaded the setlist, burned a cd of the setlist songs and alternates, found a lyrics site, refreshed their memory of these more current songs being performed on this tour and witnessed the mastery of the performance? That is what I did and the show in Concord Calif was awesome. So glad they allowed me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of the greatness of some of the newer songs by playing them in the set. Anyone complaining did not do their homework for the show. Thanks for the internet and a little common sense I had a great time.
honestly, im a little disappointes with this. all u guys who say that they've played songs like run to the hills to death, thats fine if you've seen them in concert, BUT I HAVNT. the whole reason i got tickets wuz to hear classics like aces high, the trooper, and revelations
i have seen maiden every tour since number or the beast and i love the set list . i would like to hear a little less matter ,beacuse i saw the whole album live and maybe one or two more older songs, but in all good stuff . i am a maiden fan and i love all maiden to me they have never written a bad song and they are trying to play to there newer fans that just hoped on like 4 -5 albums ago . i get the list and respected it the fact that i get to see maiden live is a gift in its self . up the irons i love steve and the boys forever bless you guys and may you keep playing for years to come if not touring at least an album each year to come .. rock on
Bah it's all good. Maiden always puts on a great show.
If I could make one request it would be that they dust off one obscure track every once in a while just for the surprise factor.
never heard them in concert b4. wuz lookin forward to it, but im kinda disappointed that there's nothin off powerslave or piece of mind
I'm excited as hell! I just wished they would have played 2 more classics, since this is my first Maiden show. Also, Nathan? Nathan English? Is that you?
no this is nathan millwater
Okay. sorry. Thought you might be someone I know.
I am only 17 now, but I've grown up listening to Iron Maiden religiously in my household. They are simply put the best heavy metal band to ever walk the face of this earth, and to be honest those of you who can respect what Maiden is trying to do are freakin nuts.
They were at there biggest here in America long ago well before I was born, since then they have rarely graced our shores, and in places like here near Pittsburgh haven't been seen in what seems like to their old fans an agonizing eternity.
But alas here they are now!!! : D Iron Maiden is here, and they aren't trying to please all the old fans. Albiet a true fan would be there to see Iron Maiden and not gives two shits about the damn setlist. But anyhow, the point is they are trying to appeal to the newer fans. Much like myself. They aren't one of those old washed out 80's groups, they are still chugging ahead with plenty of steam and need the new life to continue to thrive and be successful.
If anything encourage people you know to come and see them, if you have kids or grandkids bring em too!! Awaken the next generation to the real spirit of rock n roll and real heavy metal before it's lost in this newer era of music.
Personally I'm absolutely disgusted when I turn on the radio, but there are without a doubt still plenty of bands fighting to keep it alive. So for real, enough of the bitching is enough. IRON MAIDEN RULES!!! UP THE MOTHERFUCKING IRONS FROM PITTSBURGH PA!!!!!!!!!
Man some of you guys are are so spoiled and entitled its ridiculous. If you are so offended that a band with over 30 years of music under their belt doesn't play every song you think you should hear, start an Iron Maiden cover band and play The Trooper and Run to the Hills all day and night. Oh wait, that would mean some of you would have to pick up an instrument and learn how to create music. Thats right, sorry. I guess complaining on the internet is an acceptable alternative.
Seriously, have some freaking respect. It's their band and their music, and it is a freaking priviledge to see them play live. I just got back from the Chicago show and the setlist was quite different. They played Wrathchild within the first three songs, and replaced Paschendale with Dance of Death.
wtf??? there is not the trooper, aces high, wasted years, run to the hills, 2 minutes to midnight...???? they should change that setlist NOW!!!! that is not a interesting setlist only hallowed, fear, 666, and that is all???
I heard that they were going to change this setlist for the show on Valencia. I wanna know the truth: will they play these songs or are they going to make a different setlist? Please, tell me before Saturday, because then it'll be too late...
They got to come to Argentina please! Im 15, if they come, its gonna be the first time Im gonna see them, but come on people! Without The Trooper, without Run To The Hills, without 2 Minutes to Midnight, without Aces High and without Wasted years!? I love Iron Maiden, but with all respect, What is wrong with this setlist? Okay, okay the most part of this setlist is great, But come on! This songs are from the most important classics...
Please keep the 2010 and 2011 tours separate. There's a huge (six month) gap between them and they both have very different setlists.
