I wondered if Bruce was going to wave around the Union Jack during The Trooper, since it may have been considered insensitive by some parts of the community.

Turns out they just axed it from the set. Boo!

Great gig otherwise.

Great gig!! As for "The Trooper" it was a sensible omission. Flags of any type don't go down well in Belfast. Up the Iron Maiden family!

Gutted that they didn't play The Trooper. I'm sure they could have done it without waving the flag.

@PCmagilton - maybe if your country wasn't so tetchy about flags, you'd have got two hours.

@flashdiablo - I imagine Maiden would feel they wouldn't be able to put on the show they wanted to without everything in place, even down to the waving of the Union flag.

my first time seeing them, enjoyed it but sitting at an angle for the whole gig was a bit annoying. Metallica have it right with their center stage. of course you wouldnt get all those ice graphics and hidden props then.
i knew they would play a lot from the new album so i listened to it a lot and got pretty into it, new tracks sounded great live.
i was hoping for a good customised Northern Ireland t shirt too, like metallica had, but they were all pretty poor. opted for the scarf in the end.

Maiden doesn't compromise so no flag = no Trooper. Thats all well and good in Belfast but they should have added a different song in its place, I believe.

The crowd was so tame it was terrible. Saw the same tour in Velencia- those kids know how to participate at a metal show.
