Is it possible that people could be downloading the stream and then putting it online to p2p websites?
Because it's fucking awesome and I want it.
@Joel: I sure hope someone will, it's almost morning in Europe, and I've got to get some sleep, but really don't want to miss this! It really is amazing!
Raoul, could you please stop updating it ahead of time? They're playing Bye Bye Bayou now, not what you're puting up.
I was at NYC IN madison square garden today with tickets. But some fucking scum bag gave me fake tix and ripped me for $220. I'm pretty devastated.
Bye Bye Bayou is not by Alan Vega. It's a original composition.
Bye Bye Bayou IS an Alan Vega cover
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bye_Bye_Bayou
But Bye Bye Bayou isn't strictly a cover, it was released more as an LCD song
why is there a set 4?
Who knows if they're encores; but if they were they'd do the old 'this is our last song' dance and then come back for a few more.
I the harry nilsson cover and NY i love you a guess or is it already over and my pitchfork stream is late (12:28 AM NYC time)
they're encores in the same way other bands have 'encores'
WAS SHE PLAYING THE TWIN PEAKS INTRO SONG WHILE JAMES WAS DOING HIS THANK YOUS!?!?!?!
but then how come Set 2 and 3 aren't encores I don't get it.
here's when the encore would be
k so how long before this is on YouTube. I only saw a like roughly half of it and almost all the really good stuff was played in Set 1
no, because part 3 (instrumental someone great) wasn´t played
imo it's about the set structure, not whether they do the 'lol this is our last song (just kidding we've got an encore later)' routine or not
the 'main set' (though it's split in three) ends with yeah (as is customary for them) and the two smaller sets afterwards are 'encores'
the smaller sets fit with the custom of doing fake encores these days (LCD have done plenty of them in the past) and it makes no sense to have four encores
I hope too that people could be downloading the stream and then putting it online to p2p websites. please!!!
yeah really please for the love of god I hope someone recorded this.
No need for some weird nonsensical comment about James Murphy not killing himself.
if you're going to revert it, justify it!
it's consistent with other setlists - the 'main set' is divided into three, with two shorter sets afterwards that comprise encores
also Time to Get Away should have To capitalised and I'm Not In Love should have @Cover[10 cc]
but it's having server issues right now so i can't
He also played about 5 seconds of Suicide's "Ghost Rider" during "Losing My Edge." Is it worth it to note that?
honestly that makes no sense - if you're going to revert this, justify it. i've justified why we should use encores, you've made no attempt to.
and this is the standard notation for tapes, not the way you did it
i think it is wrong to say they had two encores because there were no "this is our last song" things. james said three songs remained on their set, and after playing those three songs it was over. so IT IS CORRECTLY OK TO SAY THERE WERE 5 SETS
Totally agree with you rocko. So no more debate: 5 sets
Lih_ thank you for the correction of the tapes notation
another note: between set 3 and 4 music was still been played, there was no pause
Don't add support bands to the main set. I added the setlists of the supports as separate set (see right column)
cherrs
I have the whole concert ripped from youtube, it's just that mediafire don't let me upload it... If I make it, I will share the links with you
"i think it is wrong to say they had two encores because there were no "this is our last song" things. james said three songs remained on their set, and after playing those three songs it was over. so IT IS CORRECTLY OK TO SAY THERE WERE 5 SETS"
by that logic, most bands never play encores ever, unless they specifically say "this is our last song" when they don't plan for it to be. i'm not aware of LCD specifically claiming Yeah to be their last song every other time it's closed the main set, does that mean they haven't played encores in the past? i'd suggest looking around on youtube to make sure of that and adjusting every single other set accordingly. just because there were earlier breaks in the set, doesn't mean it's any less valid to call the smaller sets afterwards 'encores' by the standards used today. encores no longer mean real, unplanned encores, or even planned encores that they just pretend were spontaneous (eg claiming it's their last song as mentioned earlier) - now they just refer to smaller set/s following the main one, which was here split into three.
Hey Guys! The only person who can tell us whether they were apples or pears is James Murphy. Until someone asks him, we will have to have it on this way. It is right to say there were 5 sets, like it or not. But it is complicated to say if those last 2 sets were encores; they could probably be 2 sets and 3 encores or 2 sets and 2 encores, because actually there was no pause after Someone Great. All encores (whether they are spontanous or not) are sets. No more debate.
why did u erase shit robot and liquid liquid setlists i wrote??????!!!!!!!! and why am I not able to edit the list?????????!!!!!
they are encores - i was at all 5 shows he came out during t5 mentioning encores - you are wrong
and he mentioned doing 3 sets as well - so get your info correct - at all shows he actually broke the songs up into three sets he mentioned this
The only evidence I see of the last two being encores is that they're quite a lot shorter than the other three sets. who knows.
do the jumbotron interviews need to be marked, I mean does it really matter at all.
If they're marked as @Tape then it won't mess up the statistics and it's additional information. So it's fine to keep it.
I wasn't at the T5 shows, but just clarifying that at MSG, The Juan MacLean and Shit Robot both guested for the same song, 45:33 Part Five. The former was NOT on stage for Part Four as was previously listed.
Okay, now it's not letting me edit The Juan MacLean and Shit Robot together. This is stupid.
So we can't edit more than one guest into a particular song? Wow, what a shit website.
