Metallica Concert Setlist at Bradley Center, Milwaukee, WI, USA on January 12, 2009

I'd like to say i'm a big Metallica fan, though i'm more "old school" Metallica. I do like the new Cd alot but I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with their setlist in Milwaukee!!! I first saw Metallica in 1984 at the old Eagles Ballroom on Wisconsin Ave. I remember getting their autographs at JR's Music Shop in Southridge Mall earlier that day. I saw them twice open for Ozzy on the "Masters" tour and I again met them at the local "record riot" at State Fair Park and took some great photos of the late Cliff Burton!! My complaint about the setlist in Milwaukee is they seem to have catered to their younger and more mainstream fans. THEY ONLY PLAYED 4 SONGS OFF THE 1ST 3 ALBUMS!! Who cares about guitar solos (2 of them)!!! And they could have done away with the 2 cover songs and played their own CLASSIC stuff!!! I'll admit, they sounded GREAT but the setlist was a JOKE!!!

I don't disagree with you, I like the old shit as much as the next guy. But to be fair, they played all their old shit on the last tour. I went to half a dozen shows on the "St. Anger" tour and I heard 5/10 songs from KEA, 5/8 from RTL and 7/8 from MOP.

I disagree with both of yous....Metallica performed an excellent show. Everything was perfect. From the lighting, to the set list, to the stage performance, to the pyrotechnics....PERFECT!!! For everyone that says the set list was "a bad choice" I want you to think; Metallica has sooo many songs. How many songs do you think they can play? Plus, the tour was the "Magnetic Tour", which they promote there new cd. Not only did they play tracks from "Death Magnetic", they also played an excellent variety of the old school shit. I speak for myself, and those who have saw Metallica live in concert....thank-you and keep rocking strong! I am extremely satisfied that I seen METALLICA live in concert whooooo!!!!!!
