I was happy to hear them play Dyers Eve live. The new intro and embellishments on Nothing Else Matters were cool, and Hammett made the Les Paul work well for him, though something was wrong with the noise gate effect at the beginning of Sanitarium. The audience, quiet and subdued the whole day, finally came to life when Metallica took the stage. Awesome pyrotechnics for One. Perhaps not the very best Metallica show I have seen, but it was up there, partly because I was so damn close this time. In the US, you get squished up front. Belgians are a little more polite.
