I remembered that Michael Jackson had performed in Israel when my children and I were living there. I forgot that I had taken them until my daughter reminded me that we had to sit on the grass in the back because everyone was pushing and shoving to get close to him and it got scary. His music didn't make a big impact on me, but it did on them. They were11 and 9 at the time and he was someone they grew up with. How sad that someone with so much hope, promise, and talent is now gone.
