Tobacco Road is a cover of the John D. Laudermilk track, but he's unrecognised as an artist.
He also played a short instrumental after Voodoo Child, which I thought might have been Oh Violent Night, but I don't think it was.
'Back Door Man' was performed before 'Tobacco Road' and the closing number had the spoken word lyric "At this Juncture...take a moment for yourself"
Back Door Man was certainly on the planned setlist, just not sure he actually did it.
Found it pretty odd that he barely played anything from his actual albums.
'Back Door Man' was definitely played. I could see part of the setlist on stage and the words '... Door Man' before they actually performed the song. The band's setlist also listed 'Voodoo Chile' when in fact it was 'Voodoo Child (Slight Return)' that they actually played.
Yeah, I've got a photo of the setlist. I've seen people mix up Voodoo Chile and Voodoo Child all the time. Haha.
Actually, in response to not playing songs from my albums that is untrue. "Trouble", "Slow Down", "Twenty Dollar Bill", "Oh Violent Night", "Intermission" are all off my albums. Also, "Voodoo Chile" is also off of an Hendrix Compilation album that I was asked to submit a track for. The problem we had that night was that Molly Hatchet showed up for set up really, really, late which flowed down to our not having a soundcheck. We didnt have the time to set up what is needed for me to pull of the wild originals I write and record. All in all, I feel it was a great concert. We sold a shit ton of merch and we were well received. I had a blast. :)
Interesting. I found 'Slow Down' and 'Intermission' listed on CDs. Which albums are the others on? The sound at the show as great, so it wasn't obvious that you'd not had a soundcheck.
Thanks Man. "Oh Violent Night", "Twenty Dollar Bill", and "Trouble" are all off my "Mojo in Milwaukee" record for release in Feb. of 2012. I was on tour since October and my band had just flown in for those shows. Molly Hatchet was late on all the shows and really set back everyone else in the process. Everyone from the booking down to the performers were all affected by their being exceptionally late for each of the O2 shows. Really, in my opinion, my boys and I went through a lot and overcame great obstacles to deliver the shows we gave. Im just starting to peruse the video's now and am happy with the performance.
The crowd suffered too. Songs were missing from the set, and the shortened version of 'Fall Of The Peacemakers' was pretty disappointing.
I should have photos from your set in London (I was one of the guys in the photopit) soon.
Oh man! That would be SOOOOO cool! I cannot even begin to express how much that would help me! i would be glad to exchange free cd's for those photos. Wow! You just made my day! Seriously man, I lost my iphone so all the photos taken were lost.
Sure thing man. It'll take me a little while to get to them (I've got 9 sets from various shows in November and December to do). I'll send you a message via Facebook (Andy JukeboxMetal) when they're ready.
Thanks man and I will see to it that you get all the info for my next tour in the UK in advance. I will be happy to get you passes and share a few brews with you. You really made my day. I was very sad when I lost my phone. Not withstanding the fact it was a costly loss of an new iphone but I lost a lot of photos and videos as well. Your photos help fill that gap for me and I am so grateful for it. Thank you very, very much!
