Wtf is this I've been looking forward to some crazy wembley show for months. Like exogenesis in its entirety. But no we get another cliche greatest hits set...

Chris1979 September 10, 2010 9:33:05 PM UTC

pete September 10, 2010 9:41:17 PM UTC

I don't think anything after exogenesis is correct so far (5:40 pm NYC time). they should still be playing and this was copied from musewiki, which hasbeen posted as a prediction since before the gig even started.

RuckBogers September 10, 2010 9:44:20 PM UTC

Whoa. Let's hope it's a bit better tomorrow. Soldier's Poem?!?!?! Fuck off.

Where's MK Ultra god dammit?!?!

And STILL nothing from Showbiz.

pete September 10, 2010 9:49:50 PM UTC

still dont trust it til I see a setlist.
But even so, is it that much to ask to hear even micro cuts or hyper music? maybe even bliss or city of delusion or apocalypse please?
I wont even bother about space dementia...

ParanoidCitizen September 10, 2010 9:52:07 PM UTC

3+ tweeters said Apocalypse Please, I'm pretty sure it was played in place of Take a Bow or something. The guy who was confirming this posted them all real quick in a row 20 minutes ago so I suspect he was just pissed off.

moo it September 10, 2010 9:52:34 PM UTC

Well im v v glad I am going tomoz instead of today, lets hope they change everything for tomoz and we get some surprises...open with MK Ultra like abroad!!!!! Showbiz and Bliss are a must!!!!

Biggest shock if this setlist if it is true, no map of problematique WTF, even for a greatest hits setlist

ps. please drop guiding light!

RuckBogers September 10, 2010 9:53:28 PM UTC

I'm with you Pete.

I might start a petition to get them to play Hyper Music tomorrow. It's a long shot but rather that than Neutron Star Collision...

fb:61108206 September 10, 2010 9:54:54 PM UTC

why did they bother with an online vote when they completely ignored it?

I went to Manchester, songs I was longing for but did not hear; MK Ultra, Muscle Museum, Bliss and Thoughts of a Dying Atheist (ok, that one was a long shot)

If it's possible I think tonight's set was worst. I'm off to Wembley tomorrow and I'm nowhere near as excited as I was.

M1D1 September 10, 2010 9:55:33 PM UTC

Whoa. Matt? What happened? Does he just like pissing people off? The only way to save that concert is if you ended it in Dead Star.

And agreed on dropping Guiding Light...And FEELING GOOD. PLEASE. oh my god. This is like a bad dream.

M1D1 September 10, 2010 9:57:33 PM UTC

I live in the states and I saw them in Madison Square Garden and I got MK Ultra! I was in freaking AMERICA?! Why can't they play it in Wembley??!!

Facts Know Best September 10, 2010 10:01:14 PM UTC

*points at the bitchers and laugh HARD*

You see there is something in life which is called "Karma" and it's a very beautiful bitch.

All the NSC and GL haters have it deeply into the ass tonight.

BTW you're all crying about a set list of a gig you were NOT going TO .

Talk about crybabies, Muse fans are more and more pathetic as the years are passing.

FACT : when you're doing a RESISTANCE Tour you do play RESISTANCE Tour Songs related.

Not Hyper Music or Unintendbore

moo it September 10, 2010 10:01:20 PM UTC

M1D1 ... looks like ur going to be the only one lucky enough to hear MK, my word i hope im wrong but i fear!!

Someone please link Matt Bellamy and Gang to this website so they can c what the fans going tomoz think!

M1D1 Dead star to end was incredible, was best song ive ever seen em play at v fest was amazing when they dropped it in!

Hahaha September 10, 2010 10:03:20 PM UTC

For the person crying about MKU, if you had a single clue about what they're currently playing, you know they play this track ONCE every three gigs and nothing more.

They've played it ONCE in Le Stade De France (the first night).

They will play it TOMORROW and enjoy it cause they won't play this track anymore on the next album tour IMO.

And stop complaining, they've NOT Playing Exo-Politics in both Haarp Gigs and no one complained about it while it's totally related to the haarp thematic.

Thank You MUSE ! September 10, 2010 10:05:52 PM UTC

Oh Man I would have payed HUGE MONEY to see people's faces when they've started playing NSC IMO ! Must have been PRICELESS !!!!

"zomy TWILIGHT SONG ! WTF ! We're owned !"

Thank You MUSE ! September 10, 2010 10:07:05 PM UTC

On another note it's the first and probably LAST time they will ever play IBTY in a non french talking country.

M1D1 September 10, 2010 10:09:02 PM UTC

let me clarify here...I do not hate any Muse songs. I love NCS and even GL but I just feel like it was a little bit of a waste of setlist space. They just promised a lot and they didn't do any of it. That's kind of dissapointing. I wasn't there, I know, but the point is a) I feel bad for some ppl who were there who wanted what Muse had promised and b) It's just weird...idk how to explain it. Wth were they thinking playing the greatest hits at Wembley? I mean you don't do that until you're like fifty +

ParanoidCitizen September 10, 2010 10:10:11 PM UTC

Wow, I'm so hurt Facts Know Best, Thank You MUSE etc. You're definitely not a butthurt fan like us.

M1D1 September 10, 2010 10:10:59 PM UTC

Oy vey. Twilight fans even agree that NSC is a cheesy pop song and although fun it is in no way a Muse song that should be treated as big as it is. Though they dug their own grave for that. Put your music in a movie that big and you're just asking for media attention. It's not twilight fans, trust me, it's the media.

pete September 10, 2010 10:11:21 PM UTC

@ Facts Know Best
"FACT : when you're doing a RESISTANCE Tour you do play RESISTANCE Tour Songs related."

Yeah thats why MK ULTRA and Exogenesis in its entirety would have been nice.

M1D1 September 10, 2010 10:13:58 PM UTC

Yeah seriously? Why didn't they play Exogenesis in it's full?!! I wanted that all year! And i said, okay they didn't do it at Glasto so they HAVE to do it at Wembley, full orchestra-all out. NOTHING. I'm sorry this is just...this is just shocking actually.

Set was as printed above. Anyone expecting massive changes tomorrow, look at the Manc setlist.

Musesetlist September 10, 2010 11:54:49 PM UTC

The gig was really enjoyable for me. I had fun laughing at the awful songs that kept coming and for some reason it didn't affect me :) Tomorrow will almost definitely be better. I expect at least one of Citizen Erased and Bliss, plus MK Ultra as a standard.

LukeTheLover September 11, 2010 12:49:08 AM UTC

Also, STFU you twats. All of you. None of you lot were there so keep your gobs firmly shut.

RuckBogers September 11, 2010 12:52:07 AM UTC

@ LukeTheLover - yes, many people who have been commenting weren't there - that doesn't mean we can't comment on the setlist. A lot of people who were commenting were either at the last Muse concert, or are going to the next one, or both (me, for instance).

'So keep your gob...firmly shut'.

Musesetlist September 11, 2010 12:59:59 AM UTC

There was another riff/outro after Stockholm Syndrome that sounded like Ashamed, but I'm not sure if it was.

Newborn_Bantam September 11, 2010 1:48:52 AM UTC

They'll play MK Ultra, Bliss/Citizen Erased, and Unintended tomorrow.

As for Exogenesis in full - anyone who thought they would be playing that now was hoping for too much really, especially if they've already seen any reviews / setlists from the tour so far. I think (hope) they're saving that for some special orchestral shows towards the end of touring NEXT year

pete September 11, 2010 5:34:14 AM UTC

wembley just seemed so appropriate for exogenesis. muse likes to do things big and this weekend would've been perfect. tomorrow i dont think will be much different but i imagine mk ultra and citizen erased will be played and neutron star will be dropped. also its pretty obvious unintended will be subbed in for soldiers poem. also i wouldnt be surprised if we see a different opener (my guess is overture)

fulop_hun September 11, 2010 7:17:04 AM UTC

Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever), I Belong To You (+Mon Cœur S'ouvre à Ta Voix), Soldier's Poem whywhywhy? :O They should had to play : Bliss, Citizen Erased, Cave .... :(

FearOfTheDuck September 11, 2010 7:38:12 AM UTC

I have a feeling that the concert tonight (which I'm going to) will have more rarities as most of the hardcore fans will be there- it was the first date announced after all...

FearOfTheDuck September 11, 2010 7:51:03 AM UTC

And remember guys- the second night is always better than the first :D

Wayne C September 11, 2010 10:52:14 AM UTC

I went to the show last night and to be honest I thought it was very flat indeed from a crowd perspective I guess the choice of setlist was responsible for this I mean for heavens sake , Neutron Star Collision, and ot her cuts not played the week before at Lancashire which was amazingly good, thank the Lord that they didnt video that show as they did them Manchester one as id rate it at being incredibly flat and lifeless.
the best song by far was Plug in baby, hope you guys who go tonight have better results setlist wise, Apoc please is a must as is Citizen Erased.
I drove a 60 mile round trip for the show and can only rate it as 8 out of 10 Wayne

Wayne C September 11, 2010 10:53:26 AM UTC

above should have been 600 mile round trip im still half asleep!!!

Wayne

Wayne C September 11, 2010 10:59:50 AM UTC

i dont think there will be a big change today for those lucky enough to be able to go again, take the manchester setlist, very similar apart from one or two changes for the worse I must say, I was happy just to take in the sight of the stadium during NSC, the Full Exogenesis would have been ace to see, many have said on here it was a resistance tour so why not push the boat out and do the 3 full parts would have been a blast that, dont get me wrond it was a good show but after Manchester it wasnt up to the vibe and intensity of that performance, I guess the Northern England crowd who werent fleeced onto paying 6 quid a pint got a better deal I couldnt even afford to buy a drink in the stadium !!!

Setlist was sort of shit. Great night, but they completely ignored the polls and the only half decent song was B&H and even that wasn't great. No MK Ultra or Map OR CE or Bliss, which they have done at every other stadium. I love Soldiers Poem though. So sad I'm not going tonight to get a half decent setlist ;(

fb:1069681566 September 11, 2010 4:44:23 PM UTC

Well I think it was an amazing night with a great setlist. If you're a proper MUSE fan, you'll love their gigs whatever they play. Everyone had an amazing time and sang along with the songs.

Ollie Loydell September 12, 2010 8:43:43 AM UTC

Now that is very true; I sang along to every song and had a great time. And when you put it like we get Neutron Star Collision, I Belong To You, Butterflies and Hurricanes, New Born, and Soldiers Poem, rather than what they got (MKU, MotP, CE, Bliss, RbS), it sounds better.

RuckBogers September 15, 2010 2:40:29 PM UTC

@ Museomanic - most of the people commenting negatively on the setlist were people who were going to the Saturday gig anyway. So we did get a ticket this time - loser :P

LukeTheLover September 16, 2010 7:42:48 AM UTC

I was at BOTH shows and, whilst I'd agree that the Saturday show had a better setlist and a better all round performance, this show was still the second best gig I've ever been too. Period.

Review from Friday gig ... Not that complimentary maybe ... http://livemusic.fm/review/queens-space-age

Ryrock September 18, 2010 10:50:58 PM UTC

They are poor reviews, not the rating they gave, just the review in general. The show was AMAZING on Friday! Sure Saturday got Bliss, Ruled by Secrecy and Citizen erased (which isn't much of a setlist rarity anymore) but we got Butterflies & Hurricanes which was just crazy :D Soldiers Poem which was beautiful and y'know what I hate NSC but live it was brilliant :P I mean 87,000 people all screaming 'LOOOOVE IS FOREVER!!!' it was amazing :D just look on the bright side. They played loads of brilliant songs and put on an amazing show :) also remember that it is their band, if they hated the fans as much as loads of people are saying then they'd play 2 songs then leave. They obviously care about their fans so chill out everyone :) haha

Ryrock September 18, 2010 10:51:49 PM UTC

Oh yeah also I Belong To You was great and they never play that :)

Carlos (http://www.sordafm.blogspot.com) September 21, 2010 4:54:24 PM UTC

My Muse favourite songs are Soldier's Poem and Butterflies, you are lucky!
i Dont know how you are bad! :(

Hamnet99 September 28, 2010 10:57:59 PM UTC

fb:1374100780 December 5, 2010 12:48:48 PM UTC

Good God! I've only just found this website, but were most of you at the same gig as me???? It was fabulous. So they played neutron star collision....so what!!! it's Muse - they are brilliant no matter what they play.Even if you are a fan of the older stuff, (as I am) shouldn't mean you can't listen and appreciate the musical genius of the newer stuff too. I was not disappointred. And for those who say the atmosphere was flat...not from I was, it wasn't.
