Sold-out show at a 1,200-person venue - arguably the DC area's best. VERY enthusiastic crowd, and The Cars did not disappoint. The band was tight, energetic and thrilled to be there. Elliot Easton drew loud cheers after several of his best known solos (e.g., "Best Friend's Girl," "Touch and Go"). The lead guitarist responded each time with a charming grid & nod, modest as ever.
It was a great show. I saw more emotion out of Ric at this show than the last two I saw in the 80s. Great show! Nice tribute to Ben, too.

Going to see them in NYC tonight -- very excited! What time did they hit the stage in DC? Want to make sure I don't miss the opening song. Was there an opening band?
