Tight set but well and trully scaled back from previous tours.
Lighter in the personnel department and vastly different setlist.
Thought they kinda missed the 2nd guitar and wind contributions a little. New drummer was also much more conservative.

It was the first time I've seen them and it was an amazing experience but I've seen other live sets online and i agree that this new drummer was being heaps more conservative than Thomas. Still a great show.

WOW what a great performance! such great songs, fantastic set list and the jams! so funny! so good!!! I LOVE VOLTA! it would of been better if cedric talked to us more though..

ohh after the show the replacement for Thomas came out and said hey to me and my friends, hes really nice and gave us mars volta guitar picks!

as great as ever. 11th time I have seen em, first post is right in that it was a stripped back lineup. second guitar may have filledout the sound a bit more but it probably wasn't necessary. blistering set, would like to have heard cerpin taxt though. one of the great live songs. new drummer reminds me of john theodore. TP is a great drummer, but probably a bit too technically perfect for my liking. this guy was hitting em like a maniac - great sound. one of the best versions of cicatriz i have seen.

Insane!! Interesting setlist considering all the material they have to draw on now.
Their new drummer is amazing, yet lacks something Pridgen brought to the seat. An encore would have delighted the ravenous fans. Without it it all ended so abruptly.

did someone check the setlist?
i remember less frances and more de-loused...possibly 'Ilyena' too?
