Glad I didn't go to this, same setlist as last time they were in this area...

I agree. I was thinking of going to this show, but considering tickets were $80 and they played virtually the same setlist as the last 3 times I saw them, I'm glad I decided not to go.

I've always loved them, but this is the first Tool concert I've been able to go to, and it was worth every penny.

They are the last band on the planet (to this point), that I "HAVE" to see @ some point, and last night I FINALLY saw them. I can understand the die-hards being upset about the set-list. I'm a die-hard STP fan. We have similar issues/debates. As a fan that's never seen T00L live before though, it was INCREDIBLE. I love what they do. It's in such stark contrast to bands like STP that I love. 2 Hours but only 10 songs. Long experimental jams. I loved how Maynard stayed in the dark & sang from the drum riser. The antithesis of Scott Weiland, who you can't take your eyes off of @ an STP show (whether you're male or female). I just think it REALLY worked, what T00L did last night. Maynard just participating as if he were "just another instrument", was very cool. NOW, with STP, I was able to, and GLADLY saw the exact same set 2 nights in a row. Could've done 3, 4, or more. I can't say the same for T00L. Especially since the visual focal point doesn't change. (The lights, lasers, and such are the same night after night. So if you're not getting a dose of Maynard, & something different out of him each night visually, than you really are seeing the exact same show. With STP, Weiland is never dressed nor acting the same from gig to gig, & that makes EVERY show different).

~Just Seperated the "regular set" from the "Encore". Since that's how it was performed. (A several minute break between AEnema and the final two~

Loved this show. First Tool concert and we had a side-view (left of stage). I have a new appreciation for Tool. Especially Danny Carey. WOW.

I saw them this time and the last time they were in the area and I can vouch that even though the set list was similar, the shows were very different. They get better every time I see them and I will try my damndest to see them every time they tour.
