Tool Setlist at Verizon Wireless Arena, Manchester, NH, USA
Comments
Not really an encore, since they didn't say goodbye and leave. They did stop after Ænema and stand at the front of the stage for like 4 minutes. They brought a gong out and drums, brought up Aston from Tweak Bird to jam on drums with Danny, during Lateralus. Remove the drums, Maynard jokes about how he could be watching porn in his hotel room and wants everyone to leave, they then play Vicarious.
Can you provide a source that says they played Lost Keys? According to the source above, they did not play it.
Not overwhelmed. Same set list, over and over. They are a tight group, their music is fantastic, but they need to give the fans a little more.
No new material in 3 years, they come on really late, and they play nothing new...or old. How about more material from Undertow? Or Opiate?
I'm a big fan, been seeing them since early '90s, but we're being tested here!
feels like maybe maynard's ego is getting in the way here. Either make wine or make music - this tour is starting to feel like theyt're paying some bills off at our expense!
Maynard sucked last night. I coulda crwaled out of the audience and put on a better show myself!
Tool as we know it is over
Wow. None of that is true...yes, Tool has been playing the same set for 3 years now, but can you really complain about anything you've heard? I can name a couple songs I'd like to hear yes, but I wouldn't replace any of these songs at all...and quite frankly, other than flood(nothing against it, unbelievable song)...I would be pissed if any of these songs WERE left out.
The show last night was one of the most unbelievable live things I've witnessed.
Security at verizon wireless can eat my sweaty balls, Drove 2 hours from CT and we were standing near the bottom of the arena during Isis when 4 security guards come up take our tickets cause we were in the wrong section, and throw us out. would of been my first tool show.
I agree with the fact that the setlist was pretty much the same as the past two tours.. my thing is that ive seen them the past two times at the comcast center which is an outside venue. the sound inside the verizon center was aweful..not tools fault they were tight as always just disapointed how it sounded in an ice hockey rink
i dont think it was the dude from tweakbird jamming with danny. maynard said he was from "make a wish", and then after he jammed and was leaving the stage maynard said, "well if they dont find a cure it was nice knowing you" i think it was some dude with a terminal illness. the show rocked, but it took almost 2 hours for them to come on stage...that sucked, and security took a 2 inch carabiner from me that had my car keys on it. could be used as brass knuckles in the pit i guess, but 2 inches?! and i couldnt bring a bottled water in either...lame.
this show wasa lot louder that the APW festival, but the sound in this venue is terrible.
whats to say that hasnt already been said - no variety in the setlists, MJK was the weakest link here. feel bad for danny as hes brings it every night.
the long drone sounds in between songs are getting to me - give me some shorter opiate tunes to bridge the gap please!
