The show isn't over so how do you know the setlist chief?
holy moly we're on the 3rd song and you already published the entire setlist?? where did you get this from?
is it right the setlist??
Song #8 and everything has matched so far... incredible.
Well it's not too difficult to predict the setlist on these things... most bands with huge tours just stick with the same setlist night after night
great bands/artists change the setlist on a nightly basis. they aren't written til very close to show time and encores decided in the encore break.
dissapointing U2 don't, they're good, but not great.
Josh, common sense would tell you that with the enormous stage and video set up they have, it doesn't leave much room to be changing drastically every night. It's pretty hard to switch it up and do something different every show for the next year.
As for your encore theory, that's dumb and also untrue, unless the band is playing with minimal to no video screens and minimal lighting.
Ryan is correct. With that stage and the massive LED screen, they kinda have to have everything on cue in advance or else it's not going to work.
Got the set from the last concert by U2. Tristan was right, it's not too hard to see that the same set is used almost every night for major bands.
booring concert indeed. They sold out big time. I wonder how many little kids in Burma benefit from this environmental catastrophe?
Is it me or is Bono singing out of key in many spots? Wonder how they're going to patch it up on the DVD. The Edge is utterly amazing, though only one without a mistake all night.
MLK wasn't played
oh.. my mistake.. MLK was indeed played :D
Ryan is right, some bands may add 1 or 2 songs to the set but there not going to make any big changes, and for the encore they have planned to do an encore before the show what ever the crowd is like eg kings of leon have use somebody in their encore and their not going to leave that song out
If U look at the setlists from this tour U2 do vary the songs but the last 3 shows have been filmed for a DVD so they had to play the same setlist so that they could choose the best of 3 nights to put a DVD together... Also with such massive productions you have to have a "structure" to the show - some songs are "anchor songs" and there are options - which is why some lighting and visuals are more generic than others... Plus if you ever worked as a crew for those show you will realize how insane things get when the band "switches it up" - having worked sound before, last minute changes are a huge nightmare on a show like this...
I thought the ending of the concert was weak. Why do I want to leave the concert on a bunch soft songs? They are great but you have to leave with something like Elevation or Beautiful Day. I hope they change the setlist for next years Anaheim Stadium concert. Anyone know why they never play "In God's Country" I love that song!
