The idea for the band began as early as 2003, but didn't take any real strides until 2005 with the beginning of the now dissolved band Reality Falls. Alex, Recurrence's founding member and main songwriter, began writing his own songs without the conflict of musical differences that had plagued his previous band. Recurrence's formal formation was in 2008 and after years of writing on his own, Alex found a full lineup, featuring Christian Duncan of Hybridiem and future guitar god Jack Dotas. With their unique blend of melodic death metal and hardcore, this unstoppable trio is sure to take the metal world by surprise, and truly offer it something it has not yet experienced... and maybe never will again.
