Cool that you're adding so many R.E.M. setlists - I was the one who added the ones of the last tours ... and I think I left a comment on someones blog where you're involved ... somehow there are two Luis around and I'm quite confused now :-)

thanks, the reason why not many people know about it (yet) is that it's a fairly new website (just a few months old) - so we're about to make this thing popular - the first responses so far are great.

And I see it coming, R.E.M. will be the first band who'll be complete on setlist.fm :-) que chevere! (do you say chevere as well? i know from my time in colombia that they say it ... but it might be different in venezuela I could imagine ... ;-)

i was just wondering that R.E.M. didn't play Losing My Religion during their green tour ... until I realised that they just haven't composed it back then :-D

hey luis, that stuff with the mail notification was fixed yesterday afternoon - we realised it ourselves :-). and the setlist that existed twice is now only one setlist (with the link of the first one redirecting to the second one). actually we're planning to make the action of moving and deleting setlists available for trusted users, as you are, in the near future ... maybe even antes de navidad - te diré cuando lo hemos hecho (damn I always mix and mess up different tenses in spanish - gonna have to drink flor de caña more often with my ecuadorian friend to improve that :-))

flor de caña is one of the best rums I ever drank - it's from nicaragua if I remember correctly - couldn't get it out of Colombia though - they confiscated it when I tried to get it through Bogotá airport - so I don't have a bottle on my own and I have to rely on friends :-)

hi luis, fixed the duplicate depeche mode setlist. we're just enjoying some holidays to work even harder on new features in the new year :-) hope you had a feliz navidad too!

yepp, a duplicate check will be added within the next two updates. the moderator stuff will come within the next three updates - the thing that comes first is a "was there" checkbox to mark gigs you attended :-)

Yay, it looks as if the U2 setlists are complete except for the early days shows, plus the Boy, October and War Tours.

Now to start on them...

you're right, U2 are far more popular than R.E.M. - can't believe it :-) i redirected the duplicates to the other ones. i'm gonna discuss tonight with the guys if we could bring that moderator stuff a bit earlier - or give you earlier access to it. i mean just deleting and redirecting setlists - seems like you're running into duplicates quite often these days.

so then, keep rockin the last night of the year! ... btw. do you eat "uvas de la suerte" too? or is this just a strange spanish habit? :-D

heyho, after your next login you should have moderator rights - well you can't do a lot so far, but you'll see the admin-panel below each setlist where you can either paste a redirect link or delete the setlist. e.g. if you're on setlist A and paste the link (the whole link including http://www.setlist.fm/....) to setlist B, setlist A gets deleted and the link that went to setlist A is now redirected to setlist B. hope that makes sense :-)

alright the update's on. please check again if you now see the content of the panel. but please be aware that there will be no confirmation dialog or something - so if you hit delete, it'll be gone for good ;-)

hehe I didn't know that Stuttgart was the only gig where R.E.M. opened with Supernatural Superserious - I'm just wondering because I was there :-) thanks for adding the hint ;-)

Yepp, I really hoped they'll open with Living Well. My favourite opener'd be Kenneth (see poll on http://msparer.blogspot.com/ ;-)) - but Bad Day is also great. I've seen them opening with

... but I'd really like to see Kenneth, These Days, Living Well and Wake-up bomb in a row :-)

thanks! the statistic are one of the reasons why it took so long :-) but as a perfectionist i now want all my attended concerts be put in there .... unfortunately it isn't quite possible ... but maybe comes time when all concerts ever played are in the database :-) and unfortunately R.E.M. didn't come to play a birthday gig for me ... they must have missed my blogentry somehow

Especially the batch editing feature might be of interest. We would be happy to hear what you think about it.

i just went over all the R.E.M. songs in the statistics and had some fun with the autocorretion feature (fuzy explained above) - and now all songs are equally written, all covers should be correct ... now the statistics really rock :-) please note that the statistics are now case-sensitive meaning that e.g. "the one i love" and "The One I Love" are two different songs ... but this way the data quality of the setlists will definitely rise. we also have a new autocorrection feature when adding setlists, I'll write a blog entry about it on monday.

please tell me/us what you think - and if you've got ideas o algo, cuentanos!

hmmm that's quite weird as I sent a mail two weeks ago concerning the new setlist version (that's going to be online in some days) ... i believe i sent it to the mail address you provided here on setlist.fm ... but I got answer from one moderator only, maybe it got caught in a spam folder or something. I sent it on august 21 ... we should really consider a better way to communicate with moderators I think. a forum or something. as far as your shirt is concerned: if we had known that you don't see each other on a regular basis, there wouldn't have been a problem to send it to you separately! hope you get it before christmas jejeje. have fun and best wishes

hey luis, sorry for getting back to you so late - but I was on holiday the last week ... for the first time since two years, so please bear with me :-) yeah the pic with the shirt would be great, you can send it to msp (at) setlist.fm ... it'll be on our wall of fame in our office and ... if you agree ... on facebook some time later, when we got some more pics.
as for the artist imports: yes there is a delay, but it should become narrower from day to day, we had some problems there so it could take some days to import the artist.

A while back, someone deleted the festival page for "Zaire 74" that I created; I'm not sure who it was, so I decided to mass send this message to every moderator. It's not a fake festival, and in fact has an article on Wikipedia, which is where I got the information from. I'd appreciate if it was not deleted a second time.
