Question about song credit

Question about song credit

Hey I have some questions about how I should credit this song

https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/mass-of-the-fermenting-dregs-5bd5f724.html?songid=5bea7350

It was originally credited to Mass of the Fermenting Dregs and was released on the “No New World” album in 2018

However I found that the singer, Natsuko Miyamoto, released it on her solo album “Namami” in May, 2017

However, I found out that they released a split single with the dregs and Natsuko with both of them recording Slow Motion Replay in March 2017.

As a result, I'm not sure as to who I should actually credit the song to.

This is a tricky case. Normally we would say 'first album release' so that would mean Natsuko Miyamoto. However, we are also saying that if an artist writes a song while part of a band and the song is released by that band, it is regarded a band song. You could still argue that the solo release came first, but then the double A-side single implies both version were also recorded around the same time.

I checked Musicbrainz to see if there's any information on the composition or recording, but unfortunately no. Also, the ISRC website does not show a registration for this song, so you can't use that to determine which version came first. So in that respect I am inclined to credit it to Natsuko Miyamoto, given that her album version was released first (in the order of credits we prioritise studio album over single).

Hope this helps.
