Hey! This is very dead apparently, so why not come in.
Im from Samos, Greece.
We are full of amazing cover bands in Samos that have some original songs, since the early 2000s up to today. The best original band tho would have to be Valkyries. They represented Samos in the Schoolwave festival and more. They have broken up, but here are some of my favourite Valkyries songs you should check out:

Hey aggel, I've listened to Valkyries live at the local pub while I was vacationing in Greece with my family. They sound so good and man, the energy was awesome. But that was a long time ago, maybe more than a decade ago. Anyways, brings back the old memories. Nostalgic. Thanks again aggel

I've also heard Valkyries live on a pub while in Athens. Nice band though. Didn't understand the word they're singing but the band's pretty nice. Also, I got the chance to hear other local bands as well. But I didn't reckon their names.

Hello! I thought i had replied to this, but i guess not haha! That is great! You guys are so lucky to have seen them live, sadly i havent got the chance to even tho they are one of my favourite bands. Lets say they dissolved before i got into them. Really incredible 2 people who've heard them in greece stumbled upon this forum, im glad there are more people who enjoyed valkyries like i have :D!

Valkyries are nice, I heard their music too, but not live, unfortunately. There was some stream on Greek TV, I managed to record some songs (not to distribute ofc, just for myself). Hey, just joined setlist.fm today for figuring out some acts that I saw at a festival a while ago. It works great and also a good way to figure out the names of songs!
I am messing around in the bulletin board now and this topic sounded interesting – I will check out Valkyries.
This is an old(er) band, but I went to high school in Lanigan with the brother of one of the guys from Age of Electric, a Canadian rock band in the late 90's. The band also had 2 members from Regina (a city in the same province):
