how to add festivals?

there are festivals not listed that I have attended. How do I add them?

That's a known bug. The workaround is to enter the name of the new festival, scroll up to the existing festival, select any one of them (doesn't matter) and click continue then to get to the second page.

I selected a random existing festival and continued. But the effect is that the new festival is now associated with an incorrect festival series, as you can see in the festival timeline to the right on the above page. If everyone goes ahead and add festivals in this manner, you and other admins will have a lot of tidying up to do later.
I have a bunch of new festivals I want add (the setlists are already created) but I rather wait until the bug is fixed. Do we have a forecast for when this will happen?

Could you sort out the festival I mentioned above, Töne und Gegentöne? I mean, disassociate it with the wrong festival series, and create its own entry. I'd like to go ahead and add more years for it.

Sure, I deleted the wrongly assigned festival. Unfortunately it seems like creating its own entry has to wait until the bug gets resolved. Sorry!
