Linking Songs to Albums

On occasion, a song pops up on several releases (studio, live, compilations, etc.). How does the website chose which album to slot the song under, and can this be modified? Some of the “choices” are odd and ought to be changed in favour of the main studio releases.

Hi there,
setlist.fm prefers the first release on an official studio album. It's possible to flag wrongly assigned (or unassigned) songs. See the FAQ entry about album assignments

If a song's individual page correctly identifies the album, but the setlist pages list the songs as being “Other” (not on any album), is this an admin problem?

Some album types (such as soundtracks, singles, EPs, …) are grouped under the “Other” category.
