New Setlist Edit Form (users)

When the songs of a medley are by the same artist, you can't assign it to that artist no more.

Interesting. Can you please post a link to the setlist where this happened?

Have you considered yet to change the way to write traditional?

it reads
([traditional] cover)
You ought to cut the [[crochet]] (i don't know the right word in english)

Thanks for the [traditional] suggestion, but this has nothing to do with the new edit form. Could you please answer my previous question about the medley cover assignment?

My mistake, by assigning a part of the medley to a song with credits, there had been a bad manipulation by me which fucked things up.

However, there's a whole lot of correction that are being undone automatically. When i ask for a correction and that i want to create one right one just to show how it should be, i can't do it. This used to happen with the old way too but it happens even more often now.

When you revert the wrongfully corrected suggestion that would’ve send back the song to the wrong spelling, the credit that you’ve added will disappear too. I wanted to call that song Keep On Truckin’ as the common one but if i wanted that song to be called as Keep On Truckin’, i wouldn’t get to call it a Kendricks cover.

RIGHT ONE:

WRONG ONE:
https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/eddie-kendricks-53d6bba1.html?song=Keep+On+Truckin%27

It's a good thing that i always check to see the correction working.

Can you please post a link to the setlist where this happened? Along with an instruction how to reproduce please – as I'm not quite sure if I understand the problem correctly.

This one
https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/eddie-kendricks-53d6bba1.html?song=Keep+on+Truckin%27

The Temptations had the song
Keep on Truckin’

I wanted to call it
Keep On Truckin’ @Cover[Eddie Kendricks]
as the common one

COMMON ONE:
https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/eddie-kendricks-53d6bba1.html?song=Keep+On+Truckin%27

but once done, it asked to call it back the way it used to be with the @Cover but when i would revert it, it would cut the @Cover as well.

This one too:
https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/jorma-kaukonen-4bd6afb2.html?song=Bread+Line+Blues

I want to call it a Slim Smith cover
https://secondhandsongs.com/work/115411/all
https://musicbrainz.org/recording/fb9ca8fa-26da-4266-ba15-6882ec5dabfc

It proposes to change it to Breadline Blues which is not the way it is right now. I revert it, cover's gone too.

Maybe it has something with that
https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/slim-smith-73d63a79.html?song=Breadline+Blues

Hot Tuna and Jorma Kaukonnen are very related.

Is there a big project going on about the medleys? I came across a few.

Again, can you please post a link to the setlist (the setlist, not the stats page) where this happened? Along with an instruction how to reproduce please – this is also important. What exactly did you do, where did you click etc.

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-temptations/1991/sands-hotel-and-casino-las-vegas-nv-4b874762.html

1. Keep on Truckin'
edit setlist songs – select the song i want to change – type
2. Keep On Truckin' @Cover[Eddie Kendricks]
update song – submit changes – copy/paste source – suggestion to by the cut to spell it Keep on Truckin' – revert option and it works – appears
3. Keep On Truckin' no cover at all

I then did the exact same thing except i didn't revert, came up
Keep on Truckin' @Cover[Eddie Kendricks]

In fact in this case, the common one is the bad one but it's not always the case. But nevertheless, i should be able to change it however i please without the computer deciding for me.

Do you now need to ask me which finger i used to press the key?

Keep On Truckin' @Cover[Eddie Kendricks]

There are no @Cover tags in the new edit form anymore! Use the “Cover artist” link below the close/update song link to assign a cover. There's no need to use any of the @ tags in the new form anymore.

Do you now need to ask me which finger i used to press the key?

You're dealing with a problem, I'm trying to help you. Keep that in mind when writing snarky remarks like that. I have no idea what you are trying to achieve with comments like that. Tell me, do you think this makes anything better or motivates anybody to help you? (hint: it does the exact opposite). Why do you think your behaviour is helpful? You never say please nor thank you, you treat less knowledgable users with such disrespect that they get driven away from the website. And yet you think that we should listen to you and help you.

I still miswrote, i do it the way it should be, i just write the name at the appropriate place, no @ anywhere, i explained it using the @tabs because that's the way it used to be done and i was comfortable with it.

However, the original writing disappears. If you want to revert, you can't revert the spelling or the assignment, you have to revert the whole thing

And they will remember the bad way and will keep on proposing it all the time.

Comme je l'ai toujours dit: tous les ordinateurs du monde resteront toujours des ostis d'ordinateurs à marde.

Can't decapitalize this one

https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/howlin-wolf-2bd69842.html?song=My+Baby+Caught+The+Train

It always proposes to recapitalize the and by reverting, cuts the cover.
