Not allowed to edit

Welcome!
Please read this post carefully before posting your message to this topic.
Chances are that you came here from FAQ entry 'Why am I barred from editing certain setlists?'. The info screen you saw and the FAQ already explains it quite well.
Some setlists can only be edited by experienced setlist.fm users. Once you've gained more editing experience, you'll be able to edit all setlists.
But since this is relatively new on setlist.fm, there might be cases where the feature gets it wrong. That's what this topic is for. So if you think that you are an experienced user and should be able to edit a certain setlist, then please post your message to this topic.
Be sure to
- include a link to the setlist(s) you were trying to edit (see how to post links)
- briefly describe what you were trying to edit
Note that while all messages to this topic will be read, there won't be a reply to every one of them. Also, please remember to be polite. There can be bugs in a new feature and this topic is intended to find and resolve them. We're on the same side here.

I was going to add the songs that were sound checked before the Pearl Jam show at Wrigley Field tonight but the message about me not being experienced enough popped up. I’ve been editing Pearl Jam shows specifically for a year or so now. Is that not long enough?

No one has updated the setlist for August 29th Cage the Elephant in Pittsburgh, PA. because im not an experienced setlist editor I was at the concert. is there a way to get around this? I already put a comment on it. I dont get a chance to add songs to setlists often, they are already done. however I like to keep track of these things.

Hello. I've been making edits on this site for some time now and am barred from editing certain setlists, in some cases shows I have attended due to not having enough “editing experience”. Is there a way to fix this?

Thought I would add, I was trying to add set times to some of the Mastodon/Lamb of God Ashes of Leviathan tour as I am working the events.

I was at this show but I can't edit it as I am not an experienced editor, and the setlist on here is incomplete. Is there a way for someone to else to add the songs from the setlist I found on social media?

Avid Goose listener and always trying to make good calls. Hopefully we can find a way to verify folks with generally high accuracy, while being forgiving when we get it wrong sometimes.

I've edited multiple king gizzard shows before but all of a sudden I can't edit shows anymore, even the ones I've been to. I was also editing a currently active show but suddenly got locked out mid edit and now I cant add info to the setlist anymore. I feel like I'm an experienced user as I've edited multiple setlists before and I have a good understanding of proper tagging structure and such. I'd really like to add some information that hasnt been added to the shows I've been to.

I hope y’all can fix this soon – I think you over corrected a bit and got too strict. In the end people correct the mistakes. But in the mean time no one seems to be able to edit the Goose setlist and we’re missing a few songs now.

I’ve been to numerous Hootie & the Blowfish concerts and have added old setlist in the past that I wrote on the backs of ticket stubs. But apparently I’m not experienced enough to edit the show I saw last night. Believe me I know every song.

I was going to correct this setlist as the user continually adds fake setlists for the tour. Someone uploaded the full set on YouTube so I have the correct order of songs etc, but no way of adding them onto the setlist.

I made a mistake in a comment I posted an hour ago and can't for the life of me see any way to edit my comment!

I've been adding and editing setlists for a while now (including several in just the last few weeks!), and I wanted to add the Weezer setlist for Philly tonight since it's not posted yet. But I got this error about “not enough experience”.
Hoping the error can be by-passed! Is like to continue to add to the info on the site – it's fun!

Why did setlist make this edit? My dad and I were updating the setlist for The War On Drugs in Mansfield, MA as we’ve both done setlists on here multiple times before. Pretty disappointing to see the site restricting user access like this for seemingly no reason :(

Just in general, it would be nice to get a better sense of what the threshold is for becoming blessed as an “experienced” user. (I am sure I am nowhere near it.)
But the result is just weird: An “experienced” user lists the wrong song at a show I was at, but I can't correct them? How is that better for the database?
