The Wombats Kick-Off North American Dates + Live Photos

English rockers The Wombats kicked off their second show of the current tour in Philly with "Cheetah Tongue," the opening track from their upcoming album, Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life. The Union Transfer setlist also included an additional three unreleased tracks from the forthcoming release, "Lemon To a Knife Fight," "Turn," and "Black Flamingo." The Wombats ended their set with "Moving to New York," a track from their 2007 release, A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation. The 17-song setlist officially ended when the band re-entered the stage for a two-song encore consisting of "Let's Dance to Joy Division" and "Greek Tragedy" from The Wombat's third studio album, Glitterbug.

The British rock trio is already having a very productive 2018. In the midst of their ongoing touring schedule, the band has just launched their newest single “Lemon to a Knife Fight,” from their upcoming fourth studio album Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life. The new album is set to be released on February 9.

The Wombats kicked off their North American tour January 8 at Washington D.C.'s 9:30 Club, and will continue for 17 dates before wrapping up on January 31 at Seattle's Showbox Market. The band already has touring plans in the UK after their current string of dates. In addition, The Wombats are set to support Weezer and The Pixies for 13 shows in America this summer.
