Courteeners Live Debut "Previous Parties" + More at London Shows

Following the release of their sixth full length More. Again. Forever., the Courteeners treated fans to two intimate shows at Pryzm in London! Liam Fray and co. performed an early and late show at the venue last night, January 30th, and played a handful of songs off the new record as well as some old favorites.

The first show of the night welcomed the live debuts of two new tracks – "Previous Parties" and "One Day At A Time." The rest of the band's 13-song set included other new songs "Heart Attack," "Heavy Jacket," "Better Man" and "Hanging Off Your Cloud," as well as older favorites "Not Nineteen Forever" and "What Took You So Long?"

The second set later on was virtually the same, just a bit of a different order. The group once again played songs like "Small Bones," "Acrylic," "Modern Love" and "Hanging Off Your Cloud."

More. Again. Forever. is the follow-up to 2016’s Mapping The Rendezvous and features 10 new songs tackling subjects ranging from loneliness to getting older. Stylistically, it's unlike anything the band has ever put out.

"It’s the most adventurous we’ve ever been," Fray said in an interview prior to the album's release.

"I have to say that. There’s a lot of loop-based stuff, plus I’ve been playing a lot of bass. I fucking love playing the bass. I love writing on it. I’ve done some really soulful piano tracks and almost hip-hop beats. I’m not a hip-hop guru so you can’t ask me who my influences are, but in terms of putting these hip-hop beats to soulful piano, it’s been fucking great."

The band has a few shows planned for next month to celebrate the release. Check out those dates below, and head to their website for information!
