Avatar Ages Livestream Kicked Off With 18 Songs + Live Debuts

Swedish heavy metal band Avatar are beginning their 2021 with "An Impossible Concert Experience" which kicked off on January 9th. The livestream event will span over the course of four concerts every weekend of January.
The concerts are in support of their latest album release Hunter Gatherer.
“I started to feel like a livestream is no longer a compromise. It became an opportunity to do things in a way we couldn’t have done otherwise -- number one is just the huge chunk, vast amount of material we can perform. We can’t bring four to five hours of music on the road, but we can do it like this. Suddenly it became a fun challenge.” - Johannes Eckerstrom
The first concert dubbed "Dreams," kicked off with an 18-song setlist, broken up in two acts along with an encore.
The first act featured songs off of Hunter Gatherer, and all 10 songs were performed for the very first time. After they live debuted the new LP, Avatar performed seven of their most popular hits. They selected tracks from their top 10 most performed songs like "The Eagle Has Landed," "A Statue of the King," "Let it Burn," "Bloody Angel," and set ender "Smells Like a Freakshow. To top it all off, they encored with "Hail the Apocalypse."
