Don Broco 2019 UK Tour Highlights

British rockers Don Broco are currently on their tour around the UK in support of their 2018 release Technology. They continue to climb in popularity with ambitious tracks, such as “Stay Ignorant” and “Come Out to LA,” festival appearances and even venue sizes, as they take on some of the UK’s most prestigious and accommodating theaters. Speaking about the announced dates, vocalist Rob Damiani said:
“We’re so excited to announce our biggest tour to date and first ever arena run next February! We had the best time at Alexandra Palace last year so are massively looking forward to bringing the full Technology show to the rest of the UK.”
The guys kicked off their tour on February 1 in Manchester and continue to make their way, as they most recently took on the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales. The R&B pioneers Issues and the pop-punk Neck Deep serve as openers for Don Broco and have been the perfect combination of mixed genres to help get the crowd going before the Broco hit the stage.
Issues opens first, a special moment considering it’s their first time over on UK shores for nearly two years, and their first since the departure of former co-vocalist, Michael Bohn. The vocals are shared and handled by front man Tyler Carter, bassist Skyler Acord, and guitarist Adrian Rebollo, which thus far has proved to be a fresh and dynamic approach. They perform their well-known hits, such as “Slow Me Down,” “Life Of A Nine,” “Coma” and “Mad At Myself.”
Then it’s time for Neck Deep, who for many fans making their way to this tour serve as one of the main focal points! While they play a man short since bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans‘ departure last year, the guys have no problem keeping things going with tracks like "Can’t Kick Up the Roots," "December" and their cover of "Torn," for which they incorporate a saxophonist. They end the evening with the sing-along favorite "In Bloom."
Now it's time for Don Broco. Drummer Matt Donnelly enters the stage on his own, and sings the opening and main refrain to "Come Out To LA," while the remaining members burst onto the scene during the song's chorus. They perform over 20 songs during their set, including cuts from their latest LP Technology, which dominate the evening. Songs such as "Stay Ignorant," ‘Technology," and "Everybody" make an appearance as well as "Pretty" and "Got To Be You." Some older cuts also make an impact, including "Automatic" and "Superlove" and "You Wanna Know," which has the whole room singing along to its infectious chorus.
