This month, Best Coast graced us with their fourth studio album, Always Tomorrow, released on February 21. In support of the record, the duo will be launching a set of 28 tour dates throughout North America. They kicked off their winter 2020 tour last night (February 27) at The Alibi in Palm Springs, California.
Best Coast—composed of Bethany Consentino and Bobb Bruno—will be joined by punk rock band Mannequin Pussy for a majority of the tour dates. The tour will wrap up on April 2 in Santa Ana, California, at The Observatory. They’ll also be making an appearance at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, United Kingdom, in May.
As a sweet little touch to the location of their kickoff show, the duo opened their main set with the staple “California Nights,” from the 2015 album of the same name. A plethora of songs from the Always Tomorrow record dominated the 17-song setlist, including live debuts of “Different Light,” “Everything Has Changed,” “For the First Time,” “Graceless Kids” and “Rollercoaster.”
They followed up with classics from Crazy for You such as “Crazy For You,” and “Goodbye.” The show closer was “Used To Be,” followed by encore performances of “Boyfriend” and “When I’m With You” from the Crazy for You record.
