Goo Goo Dolls Kickoff UK Miracle Pill Tour with 22 Song Set!

The Goo Goo Dolls kicked off their Miracle Pill tour last night at the O2 Academy in Glasgow, Scotland. The tour is in support of the band’s 12th studio record, Miracle Pill, which was released in September 2019. They embarked on a tour of the same name last fall, but are continuing the trek. The itinerary includes cities in the United Kingdom such as Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham and London. Their North American leg starts in late July and runs until early September.
The 22-song setlist featured a range of classics from their wide discography. The Goo Goo Dolls opened their show with “Indestructible,” a track listed in Miracle Pill, followed by “Home,” released in the 2010 Something for the Rest of Us album.

The rock band played our nostalgic emotions by weaving in six classics from their 1998 album, Dizzy Up the Girl, from gems like “Iris,” “Dizzy,” “Broadway,” “Black Balloon” to “January Friend” and “Side.” They also performed songs from their latest record, including “Miracle Pill,” “Fearless” and “Life’s a Message.”

They closed their main set with “Autumn Leaves” and “Iris,” with no encores played in addition. Frontman John Rzeznik showed an energetic front that amped the crowd up, which is sure to make their forthcoming shows all the more exciting!
