Justin Bieber's Fifth Studio Album "Changes" Has Arrived

The wait for Justin Bieber's Changes — the follow-up to his 2015 chart-smashing Purpose — is finally over. For a lovely Valentines gift, Bieber has released his new album made up of 17-tracks with features from Quavo, Post Malone,Travis Scott, Lil Dicky, and Kehlani. Changes was led by it's album singles: “Yummy,” “Get Me” (feat. Kehlani), “Yummy (Summer Walker Remix),” and “Intentions” (feat. Quavo).

The newly-wed Bieber has put his marriage to Hailey Bieber at the front and center of this album— even singing “Never thought I’d settle down, I cannot lie to myself / I was busy focusin’ on bein’ by myself / Set my feelings to the side, they all got dusty on the shelf / You wiped them down when I had nothin’ left...” on "Forever" and “Get that ring, just like Toronto/ Love you now, a little more tomorrow" on "Intentions."
The Pop/R&B-heavy project stays consistent over it's 17-tracks due to it's flawless production and Bieber's gleaming vocals. This uplifting, romance-rich album has left behind Purpose's EDM influence, to hone in on a soothing vocal approach and to act as a re-inventing project for Bieber. The album's yearning opener "All Around Me," sets a continuous tone held throughout the entire LP, while also sprinkling in some banging beats on "Available," "Running Over" (feat. Lil Dicky), and "Second Emotion" (feat. Travis Scott).

The album's title track, slows down the record to seemingly spotlight Bieber's reemerged state, detailing the growth of his mental and physical health, along with the stability of his faith. This track and variations of the whole album coincide with the theme of his new YouTube Premium docu-series Seasons, where Bieber for the first time delved into his mental health struggles and addiction.
