Tove Lo Live Debuts Two Songs at Tour Kickoff in Nashville

The sultry, dark, and yet strangely uplifting Tove Lo kicked off her Dirt Femme Tour Monday night (Feb 6) in Nashville, TN.

The Swedish singer songwriter who might be best known for "How Long," her song about betrayal that was featured in episode 4, season 2 of "Euphoria" surrounding the Rue, Jules, and Elliott love triangle, performed 20 tunes at the Ryman Auditorium, which nostalgic locals still call The Grand Ole Opry.

The lucky crowd was treated to two live debuts. The first was "Borderline" which Tove co-wrote with Dua Lipa and officially announced the day after the show on her Instagram.

Embedded content is no longer available.

"This is the very first song we wrote together," she wrote in reference to Dua,"and the very start of our friendship so this feels extra special."

Then she announced the single would drop Friday, which is fascinating since this is the start of the Dirt Femme tour, an album that came out last year and "Borderline," being brand new, is not on that collection.

Oh the beautiful complexities of being so prolific.

Speaking of collabs, check out who announced Monday night on Twitter she would also like to write with the Swede? Sia!

The second live debut was the tune, "stranger" which came from Tove's 2017 concept album BLUE LIPS (lady wood phase II). Previously never heard on the live stage, Tove took the request from an audience member and began her encore with the song.

Of the 20 numbers, 9 were from the new record, so those who plan on attending: learn the new stuff.

The tour will hopscotch around various theaters in the US and Canada in February as well as two shows in March in LA. Then she takes the show around the globe including participating in a handful of giant festivals. Grab your tickets here.
