The most notorious rapper in hip-hop currently, Drake, emerged from the tunnel of the RAC Arena in Perth Tuesday (2/4/25) with holes in his hoodie resembling large bullet holes and smoke billowing from his back.
The Canadian rapper who is still reeling from his beef with Kendrick Lamar, was surrounded by security as he walked through the crowd to his somber song "Over My Dead Body," and then down the stairs to the stage.
If he was trying to send a triumphant message that he's still standing, it didn't seem victorious, though it was good of him to acknowledge that he had taken damage in the biggest rap battle in history.

Although the Anita Max Win Tour is already a success since Aussie audiences have quickly gobbled up tickets to the anticipated series of shows - the first time Drake has returned to Oceania in eight years - which led to additional gigs... could anyone see this as a victory lap?
Just a few days previous, on the other side of the globe, Drake's nemesis, Kendrick Lamar went five-for-five at the Grammys in every category he was nominated in - including Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
That song? The ubiquitous "Not Like Us," the most famous diss track of all, whose target is the Champaign Papi.
How does one rebound from that? A sweater riddled with bullet holes is one way to play it off. Sold out audiences is another.
But in just a few days Kendrick performs on the biggest stage in music: the Super Bowl halftime.
God bless the RAC Arena, but KDot will be rocking the Super Dome on Sunday with over 120 million people watching live -- and if he does something predictably incredible, millions more on YouTube.
The last time Kendrick appeared at a Super Bowl half time was Dr. Dre's halftime was in 2022 and that YouTube video has over 324 million views. You don't think Kendrick is eyeing that number?

“My name is Drake, I started in 2008, I came all the way from Toronto Canada. Now it’s 2025, and Drizzy Drake is very much still alive,” the former actor told the crowd in Perth to cheers.
But how alive are you if you have to enunciate it?
At one point Drake was sporting a thick jacket with images of Tony Montana on it. Did Drizzy not see how that movie ended?
Surrounded by enemies shooting at him, the drug kingpin famously yells, "say hello to my little friend," and later taunts them after taking a few bullets by defiantly proclaiming "I'm still standing."
Seconds later Montana was dead.
11 songs into his 41-track set, Drake seemingly took a shot at the oldest, and best NBA player in the league.
During "Nonstop," a tune where he asks, “How I go from 6 to 23 like I’m LeBron?” Drake changed it to “How I go from 6 to 23, but not LeBron, man.”
Did the NBA-loving Drake get his feelings hurt when he saw King James' video footage from New Year's where the 40-year-old Laker rapped along with a recording of Kendrick?
If Drizzy's skin is that thin, how does he feel that Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and nearly all of Staples Center was dancing last Sunday when Kendrick won the top honors for his diss track?
The entire crowd filled with music industry insiders sang "a-minor," yet Drake is mad at Bron?
Drake should have never started this tour this week. With five Grammy nominations, it was a lock that Kendrick would win a few of them, but as fate would happen he went home with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... while wearing a Canadian Tuxedo.
Next is the Super Bowl. Bro might enter riding the back of moose as Shania Twain introduces him and enormous maple syrup fountains spew from the end zones.
This was the wrong week to kick off a Drake tour.
And even if it isn't the most hip-hop thing to do, Drake should apologize, publicly, sing a medley of Kendrick songs during his encore and put this all behind him.
If Tony Montana's little friend couldn't save him what chance does Drake have with an Anita Max Win tour?
Find out if he follows this advice. Tickets are available on the Drake website.
