MARINA’s long-awaited return to Australia finally arrived Tuesday (2/24) at Hordern Pavilion, Sydney, Australia, ending a 15-year absence with a set built around reinvention.
The show doubled as a regional launch for the Welsh singer-songwriter's Princess of Power Tour, anchored by material from her sixth studio album of the same name which dropped last month.
When she last performed in Australia on January 3, 2011, it was at Sir Stewart Bovell Park in Busselton during the 58-date The Burger Queen Tour.

Then known as Marina and the Diamonds, the set was exclusively material from their debut LP, The Family Jewels.
Of the songs she rocked in 2011, two, “Are You Satisfied?” and “I Am Not a Robot,” appeared again in the 2026 Sydney set. Satisfied?

Her touring band for this run features Chris Greatti (guitar), Zach Jones (drums), with other members on bass and keys, with MARINA on vocals and occasional piano. The lineup blends live instrumentation with programmed elements that mirror the album’s unique style.
The show began with the title track of the new album followed by "Are You Satisfied?" from her debut - foreshadowing for how the rest of the night would contain elements of her present and past.
Later “Bubblegum Bitch” and “Primadonna” revisited Electra Heart (2012), the title track from her 2015 LP Froot got love, “Man’s World” came from Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land (2021).
She also brought back “I’m Not Hungry Anymore,” played for the first time since 2019.
The Aussies may have waited a long time to see Maria, but she stoked their patience with a trio of live debuts.
“ADULT GIRL,” “HELLO KITTY,” and “KEY TO THE CASTLE” were all performed for the first time, giving strength to the full rollout of Princess of Power.
The Hordern Pavilion, located within Moore Park’s Entertainment Quarter, opened over 100 years ago in 1924 as part of the Royal Easter Show complex.
The Art Deco venue has a capacity of 5,500 and has hosted household artists including Black Sabbath (1974), AC/DC (1976), Elton John (1979), Nirvana (1992), and Beastie Boys (1999), among many others.
Marina has a few more dates down under then she ventures to Mexico and South America before heading back to Europe.
