4 SXSW Pop Artists Worth Seeing

South by Southwest Music is the largest music festival of its kind. The festival offers artist-provided music and video samples of featured artists via their YouTube channel. Musicians such as Skrillex, Katy Perry, and LCD Soundsystem all performed at this festival well before they became leaders in the music scene. With a multitude of genres being showcased all week, we’ve compiled a mini must-see list of pop artists who will be performing this year. From Dream Pop to electropop, we’re highlighting talent who are quickly making their names known in pop music. Here are four artists worth seeing at this years SXSW Music festival, which will take place March 9-17.
Los Angeles-based singer GØLDN has been slowly releasing music and covers on SoundCloud for the past two years. His latest single, “Used To” is an upbeat snare-filled track that I have not stopped listening to. Not only does GØLDN play his own instruments, he also writes and co-produces his own music. He plays a variety of genres including but not limited to pop, alternative and R&B. Check out GØLDN's SoundCloud account here.
