Pop icon Justin Timberlake went pop-country with his latest album Man Of The Woods, which is a move away from his previous jazzy/pop albums, but has nevertheless opened at No. 1 on the Billboard charts once again. He’s embarking on a North American tour in support of this latest release starting tomorrow, the 13th, in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre and ending July 31 in Stockholm, Sweden. Supporting JT is R&B/Pop band The Shadowboxers who will warm up the crowd each night.
After performing a medley of hits during a much-talked about Super Bowl performance this year, fans are anxiously wondering if Justin will grace their cities with a similar setlist. Justin will without a doubt play a ton of new songs, but will he perform an *NSYNC song? Fat chance. Here are five songs that Justin is (maybe) telepathically hinting to me that he will (probably) play on this upcoming run.
Filthy
Even though this song was live-premiered at the 2018 Super Bowl, it's not a stretch to assume he'll be performing this hit. It's the album's lead single and it has over 55 million YouTube views since the official music video was released, less than two months ago. This is a classic Justin-esque song full of sex appeal and made to be "PLAYED LOUD." Folks, we don't need any scientific proof to know that Justin will be banging this one out, if not opening every show with it.
Cry Me a River
It's what fans will literally do if Justin doesn't perform this song. But there's no reason to have any tissues on hand, because this is his most performed song and there's no way Justin would snub this staple heartbreak ballad. The song also allows Justin to show off some of his live beatboxing chops.
Cant' Stop The Feeling!
This single was made especially for the 2016 Trolls film, but Justin has been having a blast performing this disco-pop hit at his concerts recently. The song has all the elements JT needs to bust out his patented dance moves. Whether he adds some extra flair with an array of backup dancers or a horn section, you can bet this will be an important part of Justin's set.
Supplies
This tour will be the pop singer's first time performing many tracks off the new album. So which tracks will he end up choosing? We can't know for sure. But I'm sensing "Supplies" will be on there. This song is an upbeat party-starter and if this tour is anything like his previous ones, Justin knows how to throw a party with his sets. He also performed it at his last concert on February 21 in London.
Gone (*NSYNC song)
Ok... Justin hasn't performed this "NSYNC song since 2014. But he performed it a bunch in 2007, gaining it a #14 spot on his most performed songs according to our setlist data. So if there's any *NSYNC song he decides to play, it will probably be this one. Will he include it on every setlist? Probably not. But maybe one lucky city will be graced with some *NSYNC love. Here's to manifesting something that's not entirely impossible!
