Songs Shawn Mendes Will Perform on His 2019 World Tour

In just two days, our new favorite Canadian crooner (sorry, Bieber) heads out on his fourth headlining tour!

The artist will take a break from modeling for Calvin Klein and embark on his arena world tour, kicking off this Thursday in Amsterdam and coming to a close in New York at the end of August.

The tour is in support and celebration of the artist’s self-titled third studio album, which he released last May. The album, along with his first two works Handwritten and Illuminate, topped the charts worldwide, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and peaking in the top ten on charts in Canada, Australia, and many European countries.

So what can we expect to see our favorite pretend-boyfriend play on his new tour?

Songs from Handwritten:

  • “Stitches” - The song that transformed Mendes to mainstream from Magcon, it’s no surprise that this overnight classic is Mendes’ most performed song of all time!
  • “Life of the Party” - Shawn’s debut single from his debut EP, and third-most performed track, is sure to be on the setlist! We know Shawn loves to play his oldies.
  • "The Weight” - Though never released as a single, this song is his second-most performed, and is a fan favorite among the Mendes Army. Educate yourself on this key Mendes track from his self-titled debut EP!

Songs from Illuminate:

  • “Mercy” - Shawn’s fifth-most performed song and lead single from this album, this track has been performed over 100 times and will surely be headed toward achieving its next century after this tour!
  • “Treat You Better” - No matter how perfect your significant other may be, we all know that Shawn could undoubtedly treat us better. This song is his sixth-most performed and was the second single from his sophomore album!
  • “Ruin” - This non-single takes the spot as Shawn’s fourth-most performed song, and for good reason! The track allows Shawn to display his amazing vocal range.
  • “Patience” - Though only his fifteenth most-played song, this is my favorite track on the album, and a girl can dream right? I can’t be the only one that would die to see this vastly underrated song performed live!

Songs from Shawn Mendes:

  • “In My Blood” - The lead single from the album and one of Mendes’ most personal songs, this song is sure to be played. Mendes has given some of his most electrifying performances of his career to this song, as the raw emotion in his voice comes through clearly.
  • "Youth” - Perhaps lucky fans will be treated to a surprise guest performance by Shawn’s collaborator Khalid during this track?!
  • “Like to Be You” - Another non-single and collaboration, we also hope to see Julia Michaels share the stage with Shawn for the performance of this song on at least a few of the tour dates!
  • "Lost in Japan" - Though only his 26th most played song, it’s also his most recent single, and was popularized by its remix by the legendary Zedd. Maybe we’ll get an acoustic performance of the dance track?!

While these are only my psychic predictions, we can almost certainly expect to hear all of these songs on Shawn’s upcoming world tour. With singles and deep cuts alike, hopefully the Mendes Army and casual fans will both be satisfied!
