Coldplay Perform "Best of You" Piano Cover for Taylor Hawkins

Coldplay are on their 'Music of the Spheres World Tour' in support of (and named after) their ninth studio album, which dropped in the fall of last year. The current leg of shows kicked off on March 18 at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San José, Costa Rica, and the band have multiple dates in Mexico ahead of them.

Their setlist for the run has stood nearly identical each night, kicking off with "Higher Power", and wrapping up with "Biutyful." On Friday March 25 at their Monterrey, Mexico show, Chris Martin addressed the devastating news of Foo Fighters' drummer Taylor Hawkins tragic passing:

"A friend of ours, in a great great band called the Foo Fighters has passed away. We weren't sure whether to talk about it in this concert, but we have to because they're our friends and care about them, and we feel like we should send love to the Foo Fighters. We all knew Taylor, their drummer, who was a beautiful, beautiful man, and so we're going to play this song for the Foo Fighters. This is called "Everglow."

The Coldplay frontman dedicated their 2015 song “Everglow” to Hawkins. Watch a fan-filmed clip of the moving tribute:

On March 29 and 30, Coldplay added a piano version cover of Foo Fighters' "Best of You" to the setlist, honoring Taylor Hawkins. Watch the moving memorial and see their most recent setlist:
