Depeche Mode Kick Off Memento Mori Tour with Three Live Debuts

Today (March 24) marks the release of Depeche Mode's 15th studio album, Memento Mori. On the eve of the LP's arrival, the band kicked off their tour at Sacramento's Golden 1 Center. The 23-song setlist included three live debuts, five songs from MM total. They opened the show with the live debut of Memento Mori's opening track (also the longest, clocking in at 5:18), "My Cosmos Is Mine" - See fan footage:

The second debut of the evening was "Speak To Me" which happens to be the closing track on MM. "Soul With Me" was the third and final live debut of the set.

This was the band's first big tour without co-founder and keyboardist Andy Fletcher, who passed in 2022. See the the tribute they gave him during "World In My Eyes":

Fletcher's final show was the conclusion of the Global Spirit Tour in July of 2018 - see that setlist here.

Depeche Mode closed the main set with their 3rd most-performed song to date, "Enjoy the Silence."

They kicked off the 4-song encore with Violator track "Waiting for the Night" which they hadn't performed since 2009's Tour of the Universe. "Just Can't Get Enough" followed, the only track from their debut album Speak & Spell. They closed the whole show with their two most-performed songs to date, "Never Let Me Down Again" (1st with 963 plays) and "Personal Jesus" (2nd with 877 plays).
