Setlist History: blink-182 unveils 'The Rock Show' in IL

We blinked and somehow it's now been 22 years since blink-182 released the classic album Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.

As lucky as we are to have had it in our collective consciousness for over two decades, no one was luckier on St. Paddy's Day in 2001 than the hundreds of people who packed The Castle Theatre. That audience got to hear "The Rock Show," "Reckless Abandon," "First Date," and others for the first time as the band live-debuted tracks from the album which wouldn't be released for nearly a month.

When Take Off Your Pants... finally did drop, it truly took off, becoming the first punk record to debut at #1 on the Billboard charts.

The new material of that forthcoming album allowed blink to pack a wallop unto that Illinois audience.

The first 10 songs included "Dumpweed," "The Rock Show," "What's My Age Again," "First Date," "Josie" and "All The Small Things'' one after another, catapulting the trio's already lively set.

A few months after they live-debuted these songs in Bloomington, IL, they played at the Tweeter Center outside Chicago where this video was shot.

As you may have heard, Travis, Mark and Tom have reunited and will be going on tour beginning in May in Minnesota and rolling around the US and Canada through July. Then in September they head off to Europe. Get your tickets here.

Forever and ever, let's make this last forever.
