Kacey Musgraves Surprises Zach Bryan Fans at Chicago Opener

Yeehaw, Kacey Musgraves is going back on tour, y'all. All in support of her new album, Deeper Well, her sixth studio album, which comes out next week.

The sassy Grammy-winning country superstar has been doing rounds of interviews, appearances, and special guest spots.

A few days ago she was the musical guest on SNL hosted by Madame Web's Sydney Sweeney. And then Tuesday night she popped on stage with Zach Bryan as he kicked off his new tour.

Musgraves and Bryan last saw each other in February at the Grammys where he won his first trophy and she received her 7th for their duet "I Remember Everything."

While that must have been magical, she also got to meet Beyoncé. Hopefully someone will ask her which was cooler because Kacey just might tell 'em.

A month later in Chicago's United Center, the arena Michael Jordan once called home, Bryan stepped back from the mic on the opening night of his Quittin Time Tour as Musgraves causally climbed the stairs and began singing the tune that debuted at #1 on Billboard 100 last September.

Because it was the tour kickoff, Bryan live debuted a pair of songs, "The Great American Bar Scene," and "Better Days."

His duet with Kacey was the first time they had ever performed it live together and only the fourth time he'd ever sung it in concert.

The song spent 20 weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

But how hard could that be? Like who, actually, is on the Hot Country Songs chart these days?

Household names.

Country is so hot right now that four of Billboard's #1 singles within the last year were country debuts, like the Bryan / Musgraves pairing.

In a forthcoming interview on the Sunday edition of The Today Show, Kacey will reveal that when she got into the studio to cut her track for "I Remember Everything," she was feeling under the weather, but laid down her vocals like a trooper.

Afterwards she went to see her doctor where she was told she had strep throat.

Something else "funny" happened recently with the singer. On Saturday she performed two new songs on SNL.

As the show was wrapping up and the cast, host, and performers say good night as the credits roll, Kacey apparently forgot to take her hair clip out before running onto the set in Studio 8H in 30 Rock.

But because she has a solid sense of humor, she owned up to it on Twitter.

Kacey's Deeper Well World Tour gets rolling with a Euro Leg in Ireland in April with a stop at the famous Paradiso in Amsterdam and concludes nine gigs later in London.

Then there's a mysterious four month gap until she begins her North American leg.

Will she have a European vacation? Will she eat, pray and love?

Kacey performed her single "Too Good to be True" on SNL last Saturday.

Will she make a summer of unannounced festival appearances whereever she damn well pleases?

Let's hope.

Tickets are on sale for the tour now on her website.
