When Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart released their third album, Little Queen, in 1977, even though it was the year punk erupted, it was the middle of the disco era as well.
In 1978, the last time Heart performed "Treat Me Well" in concert (until this month), the charts were dominated by the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, Andy Gibb, Chic, and Donna Summer.
Even The Rolling Stones' 1978 hit single "Miss You" had a decidedly disco backbeat to it.

Heart wasn't tempted by passing fads, nor did they need to because Little Queen contained their greatest diss track to the music industry, the stinging monster hit "Barracuda."
The instant classic (the single went to #11 driving the LP to #9) overshadowed practically everything else on the album, the first on their new label, except for the peppy "Kick It Out."

Thus the moodier, slower, Nancy Wilson-penned "Treat Me Well," didn't really have a home on a setlist that also had rockers like "Crazy On You" and the title track of Dreamboat Annie.
Before whipping it out at the BleauLive Theater at the Fontainebleau Resort in Vegas, Heart only played it four times in '77 and once in '78.

“Here’s something different that we have never really done before,” Nancy Wilson explained to the audience of 4,000.
“But it’s one of those Heart songs that needed its chance to be taken out for a spin. This one’s called ‘Treat Me Well,'" she said and took the mic to sing her song.
Some may say, "why dust off a song they barely played when it came out, was never released as a single, and has been sitting around since the '70s?"
Heart has always been a band where the sisters have shared the mic. While the vast majority of the singing has gone to Ann, one of rock's finest vocalists, she regularly steps back and lets her sister have the spotlight each show.
Odds are Nancy was reminded of one of her earlier tunes and wanted to share it with the crowd of their second night in Sin City.

What's more odd is when a band has a Top 10 hit that they put on the shelf for nearly 40 years.
That's what the Stones did with "As Tears Go By," one of the early Jagger/Richards compositions they played a few times in 1966 and didn't return to until 2005's A Bigger Bang Tour - and even then they only put it on 18 of the tour's 145 setlists.
Usually when a veteran group digs extremely deep into its catalogue for a tune they haven't rocked in 40 years it's because they're celebrating an old album they want to play all the way through or if they were celebrating an anniversary of the band.
That's what happened in 2022 when Judas Priest was on their 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour. At the start of the second US leg of the tour they busted out "Genocide" near the end of their first set, a song they hadn't unearthed in almost exactly 40 years.
Then there's renegades like Neil Young who don't need an excuse to revisit the very distant past.
In 2015 while at The Forum, touring with The Promise of the Real, he performed "L.A." for the first time since 1973.

This week Heart, who has really only gotten a few shows under their belts for the 2025 edition of the Royal Flush Tour announced an 18-date follow up called An Evening With Heart Tour.
The difference being they mean the whole evening. It's 18 dates but 36 shows as every night they will be performing two separate sets.
Tickets for both tours available on Heart's website.
