Killswitch Engage Live Debuts New Tracks in Nashville

Killswitch Engage ascended upon Nashville this week to celebrate their ninth album, The Consequence. And fans of the metalcore heavyweights were hardly disappointed. The crowd at The Pinnacle was treated to 18 incredible songs including four live debuts!

Released last month, The Consequence is the first Killswitch Engage album in six years, marking a much-awaited return for the Massachusetts band. Sure, they’ve toured and made festival appearances over the years, with their last headlining run in 2022… but their unique blend of melodic metalcore has been very much missed. And suffice to say, they’ve outdone themselves with their latest record.

After kicking off with a few classics like “Strength of the Mind,” “Rose of Sharyn,” and “The Forgotten,” it was time for the first live debut. Killswitch Engage blew through “Aftermath” with the same fury and angst that metal fans have loved for decades, taking them on an auditory journey that’s likely still ringing in their ears days later.

The same can be said for other live debuts like “Collusion,” “Forever Aligned,” and “I Believe,” which ushered in a new era for Killswitch Engage that fans have waited on for years. Their sound has evolved in a way that both caters to old fans and allows for creative experimentation, which is a line that every band needs to balance.

It’s no secret that they’ll always be loyal to the Metalcore genre — as evidenced by their headlining slot on the Summer of Loud tour with Beartooth and I Prevail. But the group also isn’t afraid to take creative risks — whether it’s waiting half a decade between albums, switching singers, or anything in between.

And you can see it all up close and personal on the 2025 Killswitch Engage tour(s). Get your tickets to see their headlining shows, along with their performances on Summer of Loud!
