Playboi Carti Live Debuts Most of 'Music' at Rolling Loud CA

Rolling Loud’s California edition returned to Inglewood last weekend (3/15, 3/16), headlined by Playboi Carti who blessed the Sunday crowd in the parking lot of SoFi stadium with 18 live debuts from his new album, Music.

Just three months ago, the Atlanta rapper live debuted a handful of songs from his third studio album (sometimes called I Am Music) at his last performance at the Miami Gardens' Rolling Loud in December.

Two days before the LA show, the 31-track album was officially released after years of teases, making the Rolling Loud Cali show Carti's first chance to finally celebrate 25 of the 30 tracks in one special night.

The mood was so energized, egged on by the star screaming into the mic and encouraging several mosh pits, producers of the sold-out show were quick to turn off the music and demand that fans back up so as not to squoosh those in front of them.

“We’ll pay any curfew fines so Carti can do his whole set,” officials said over the PA while security helped dazed fans from the front barriers.

“Everyone calm down and take three steps back.”

After about 15-20 minutes, he lights dimmed back down and Carti returned to the stage, but this time with a familiar friend: The Weeknd.

The pair did their Music collab "RATHER LIE" together and then their 2024 duet "Timeless" which was featured in The Weeknd's most recent album Hurry Up Tomorrow.

Joining Abel and Carti on stage, along with the "Opium Goblins" or "Opium Minions" were Cleveland rapper Dabo, Canadian rapper NAV, and Twitch streamer Kai Cenat (and his camera man)... who live-streamed the experience to over 100k viewers.

Just two days after the show, Cenat's YouTube video "I Performed With Playboi Carti!" has already been seen over 1.2 million times.

One of the Opium crew, the fashion-forward Burberry Erry, who is known for front flipping into Carti's crowds, pulled off an extremely dangerous one Sunday when surprised the fans near the stage with an epic dive.

And landed it.

Celebrities spotted watching the set that included a production of pyro, fire, lasers, and smoke machines were Saturday headliner A$AP Rocky, Rihanna, Laker rookie Bronny James, Jamie Foxx and others.

Carti had a high bar to match after Rocky's set 24 hours earlier... that began from a helicopter high above the stage.

A$AP Rocky's set also included a number of live debuts including "Your Honor" which was likely inspired by his recent legal case.

Prosecutors said Rocky's beat-up knuckles were proof he was involved in violence.

Over four fuckin' years on trial
Look the DA in his face with a smile
Tryna take away from a child
Got them cuts on my knuckles, it was slugs and scuffles

- from "Your Honor" off his forthcoming album Don't Be Dumb.

Carti has nothing on his calendar at this moment and A$AP Rocky's closest gig is in late July in Chicago for Lollapalooza.

Tickets available on the Lolla website.
