Preview: What To Expect From The BTS World Tour

The wait is almost over! Nearly four years after their ‘PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE’ tour back in 2022, the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ will officially kick off on April 9, 2026 at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea. Now that we are only one month out from the highly anticipated event, here are the top 5 things you can expect to see during one of the 80+ shows worldwide.

Live Debuts

BTS’ upcoming album of the same name, ARIRANG, is set to release on March 20th, only a few weeks before the tour begins. With 14 brand new tracks in their arsenal, it’s safe to predict that fans will get to hear several of them live for the first time.
BTS have also had a lot of time to work on solo projects since their last show as a full group, including Jin’s Happy (2024) and Echo (2025), J-Hope's Jack in the Box (2022) and Hope on the Street Vol.1 (2024), RM's Indigo (2022) and Right Place, Wrong Person (2024), Jimin's FACE (2023) and MUSE (2024), Suga's D-Day (2023) as Agust D, V's Layover (2023), and Jungkook's Golden (2023).

While the ‘PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE’ tour focused mostly on full group performances, the previous ‘Love Yourself’ tour and ‘The Wings Tour’ featured multiple solo stages. In addition, there has been a rise in popularity among K-Pop groups in general to have an entire act dedicated to solo and unit performances in their shows, including TWICE, ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and more. With so many beloved tracks added to the BTS discography in the past couple of years, it’s more likely a matter of ‘which’ solo songs will be included rather than will they be.

Iconic Fan Outfits and Freebies

One of the best parts of being in the BTS ARMY is meeting other fans who share similar interests. During concerts, there will be so many people dressed up in different costumes that it will almost feel like skimming through a BTS history book. While more minimalist ARMY may include the color purple in their ensemble or a BT21 headband featuring their bias’ character, don’t be surprised if a gigantic tuna fish waits in line for merch with you, a squad pulls up in baseball tanks and the thickest eyeliner you’ve ever seen, or someone even pulls out a wedding dress!

On top of that, BTS fans are known to hand out some of the most intricate and exciting ‘freebies,’ which are basically fun, handmade crafts to gift or trade with others. This can include custom photo cards, a decorative physical ticket for the concert date you’re attending, keychains, bracelets, and so much more! Be sure to thank these hardworking fans, as they often prepare goodies several weeks or months in advance in amounts sometimes exceeding several hundreds!

Crazy Views

As the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’’ has a 360° stage setup, the entire audience will have a uniquely amazing angle to watch the show. The amount of fans that will be able to stand at the barricade is probably the most in BTS’ history, meaning a ton of close-up fancams will be uploaded online for all to see. Plus, BTS always have such creative stage effects and props, (including a giant bouncy castle one time!) so we can definitely say that something special will be set up for this tour as well.

Three Hours of Fun

You better pack some comfortable shoes for these shows! On average, a BTS show can last from 2 ½ to 3 hours, with your only break being a few short VCR clips after each act. ‘PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE,’ ‘Love Yourself,’ and ‘The Wings Tour’ concerts mostly consisted of about 22-24 songs depending on the date and location.

Bringing Back the Classics

Although the setlist will feature a lot of newer tracks, there are quite a few blasts from the past that BTS will never seem to let go! Their most played song in history is the fan-favorite “Dope,” which has been performed 162 times from 2015 until now. Other career highlights are “Fire” (137 plays), “I Need U” (130 plays), and “Save ME” (102 plays). Even though it can never be 100% guaranteed, it would definitely be a huge shock to have any of these missing from the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ setlist.
